She already ordered MSD sized hands I think, she didn't mention the company though.

Yep, I already ordered the hands, but I think those are the same hands I bought. Definitely that size. I ordered from Alice's Collections. It was the only site I could find that had them and wasn't sold out. Plus it was free shipping, so it was less than the ebay listing. Although jeermaya has a good ebay rating, I'm still waiting for my doll to arrive before I buy from him/her again.

Now I wish I had bought a male... I have 3 females and one male on the way.
Although I dipped into my savings for some of the cost, I put some on credit cards as well... so I probably shouldn't buy anything big again till I get that balance paid off again. grrr...

I've spent the last 3 days, almost the entire day each reading doll stuff lol. I searched and looked around a lot before buying just to make sure I was getting the best deal and sure enough, Junkyspot was the best I could find considering shipping and in-stockness.

I think I must have spent $3,500 in the last 6 weeks on dolls *sigh*

I'm holding off on buying anything more for a while, but I can ask questions at least right? hehe

There don't seem to be as many guy obitsu sizes available, but I wanted to get a male obitsu as well and it would be nice if he was a bit bigger or at least the same size as the female 50cm obitsu that I bought, but is there one that the same or larger that poses as well?

Junkyspot is absolutely THE BEST place to buy obitsu of any size from! If he doesn't have it in stock, he doesn't list it, so you always know that you'll get what you want right away. He also has fast shipping and awesome customer service LOL.

And yea, you could say I'm biased, but Jspot is where I "discovered" BJDs at and I go there for just about everything I can! In fact, you'll find that a large percentage of the folks here are members of the Jspot forum as well - heck some of us are even mods over there :) It really is a small dolliehworld sometimes LOL.

As far as male obitsu - right now there are two. The 55cm male which is pretty much the same as the 60cm female in terms of posing only he's got shorter legs. Then there is the male version that has the 60cm female legs on him....lets just say that's not the most attractive doll.

Now, depending on how "manly" you want your male to be, you could get the 50cm body and get an immature bust for it...I can't remember if the male chest pieces for the 55 will fit on it or not - but I'll bet Kiki-chan knows that.

OR you can sit back and wait along with the rest of us for the much anticipated 65cm male obitsu. You can see a bit of a him in a photo in this post: http://www.dolliehsanctuary.com/sanctuary/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5691 plus read about our excitement and anticipation of him LOL In terms of a manly obitsu- he is going to top the list when he's finally released.

$3500....WOW - you have been bit! I think it took me quite a while to spend that much on dolls....well, ok if you are only talking the dolls themselves, not all the accessories as well...those add up fast too :)

And of course you can ask all the questions you want! We love to share knowledge!

Thanks again for the info!

It REALLY is nice to be able to buy a doll and not wait 2 months for it hehe. Long waiting
The 65 boy supposed to be really posable?

Oh, the $3,500 isn't just the dolls although, they are probably 4/5ths of that total. that also includes wigs and shoes (like stuff from the Suntek store, at around $10 a piece how can I NOT buy a bunch? lol) and supplies for painting and sculpting and all. Since I've worked in so many mediums, I had a lot of supplies already, but some things I had to buy, like I don't have chalk pastels and I only paint in oils, so I had to buy a small acrylic pack and separate brushes for those.

Dolls are so beautiful I just HAVE to try my hand at some crafting too hehe. Bought some fresh clay and some casting supplies.

I started playing with eyeballs first and think I've come up with a good method already in my 2nd batch. There's a thread in the creations thread that shows my first really bad batch. Just started playing with alternate head sculpts today, though it's kind of nerve wracking judging the sizing only from measurements from web pages. But even if it doesn't fit any bodies that I'll have, it's still good practice. Been a while since I sculpted.

Additionally, the doll at the top of the list here 55cm obitsu boy:
http://www.parabox.jp/eng_new/55_body.html

Anyone know about him? Is he double jointed? How is his posing?
Or the other ones at the same height. It's just that the first one is at Junkyspot.

He is basically the same as the 60cm ball-jointed girl - with different legs and chest. He definitely won't pose as well as the 50cm does.

As for the ellusive 65cm, we aren't sure how poseable he'll be yet since no one has seen one in action. You can trust that the minute he finds one available, K2 will buy it and let us know LOL. He's the most ardent Obitsu fan (in terms of the bigger dolls) EVER! I think we are all hoping that obitsu didn't just make new skin for old interiors, but made new interiors that will pose like the 50cm.

That one has the same joints as the 'ball-jointed' 60cm obitsu. He doesn't have the same range as the 50cm in mobility, but he's still a nice little doll.... AND perfectly scaled to be a boyfriend TO your 50cm. He can also use any of the 60cm heads.

Here's my 55cm with the Pixy Gretel head, next to my 50cm. Both of them are in body-socks which help prevent staining. Like most of my vinyls, this one has a mod. I took some of the vinyl down from the wrists to allow more movement. It's actually a really simple mod to do. ^___^

Here he is with the rest of my collection. The 55cm is on the top shelf, left-hand side. Next to him (in order) is a 40cm, 45cm, 50cm, 60cm, resin doll, and Omi (who is a category completely unto himself).

Let me know if there are any other questions you have about him.
