You can probably trim a chunk off of the 60cm abdomen piece and get it to fit. I just didn't want to cut the one I have.

DD2 bust works well.

OK, now, how does the internal skeleton of the 50 compare against the 60 in terms of length?

The length (whole torso) is pretty good.

Since you would have to trim some of the material off the top of the 60 abdomen anyway for the 50cm skeleton, could you also provide a 'v' shaped cut on either side to allow the top of the abdomen to pinch in ever so slightly to allow the 50cm bust to fit without pinching the back as you show?

I mean I can live with using a DD/DD2 bust vinyl on it, but if I'm going to have to trim the top of the abdomen anyway, is there any corrective surgery that I could do to allow the original 50cm large bust to fit, even if it's snug?

The hang up appears to be the "breast bone" in the 50cm skeleton. You would need to trim the vinyl to go underneath it.

I must say, I really like the way that 60cm abdomen matches up with the 50cm legs. Definitely an improvement over the original abdomen there.

Another possibility would be to stalk the Yamato site for one of their sales and buy a Type B abdomen. It's about as wide as the 60cm abdomen and is the required (smaller) diameter on top.

Here's the 50cm large bust on top of the Type B abdomen.

K2, sorry to bug you. Do you have a regular DD abdomen? If so, how does that compare to the Yamato? if not, would you mind measuring the Yamato lengthwise and then the diameter across the top? DD abdomens are shaped that same way due to the construction. :)

Diamond (55cm) has been in a DD2 large bust and abdomen for several years.

By the way, you will want Volks Normal Skin to match your Obitsu White Skin.

Yep, thanks. Makoto (Gretel) was on a DD body before her Obi one arrived. :)

Thanks for all of that K2.

I have some thinking and deciding to do. I like the smooth/sleek line of the 60cm abdomen from Obitsu. If I can make that work with the 50cm bust, it would be great. I like the look of the DD bust and abdomen as well, so that might be an option to replace the vinyl that way.

I think what I am going to do is get the 50 with the large 50cm bust and a 60cm abdomen. I want the larger bust on the 50 whether I change the abdomen or not. Once it's here, I can look at the 60cm abdomen and decide whether I wish to try some surgery. If I do, and it works, great. If not or the surgery is a flop, I'll opt for the Volks bits. Part of it is that I want to try - for the heck of it, and part of it is that I really like the fit of the 60cm abdomen and the 50cm legs - your pictures show how well they fit together.

Of course my mind works in odd ways, and now I'm wondering about whether I can stretch/reform the 50cm bust to enlarge it just enough to fit over the top of the trimmed 60cm abdomen without causing a problem with the back of the abdomen.

Well, I guess that's all part of the joy of owning Obitsu...

Actually, I like my dolliehs more than I like a lot of people I know in real life.
Is that bad? I think not!

When Kiki-chan78 modded Omi, she had to cut HUGE chunks of vinyl out of his thighs to make them smaller. She glued them back together with "zap-a-gap". It worked really well too. I am sure you could do that with the lower torso. To increase the upper torso, you might be able to add a wedge of the extra vinyl removed from the lower one. And this is why Obitsu are awesome!

We have a bottle of zap-a-gap. Cool! I also know from messing with Barbies and Tonners for many years that boiling/heating the vinyl and reshaping it and then quick cooling it (while in the desired shape) can work...so "perhaps" stretching might work as well.

I know the DD bust pieces have that hard inner ring, perhaps that could be used to help stretch out the 50cm bust to fit on the 60? I don't know, just thinking aloud while I cannot sleep thanks to sinus meds. Ugh.

Anyway, order to JS off. Order to Parabox off. Order to Volks pending. So we will have new 50cm ladies of some sort in the house soon!!!

I can vouch for the Zap-a-Gap. I've done a couple of split seams in vinyl parts and closed them with Zap-a-Gap. Most noteably Hyatt got her 60cm legs shortened and Anna Marie got a tuck in the back of her DDDy bust part's neck (the DD have longer, thicker necks than the Obitsus). I've used the thicker, slower setting variety, mostly for it's gap filling properties. I try to stay away from these types of mods just because of the amount my girls get handled.

Omi gets handled a lot! And he seems to have held up really well.

I don't know if measuring is necessary. They look pretty close to me...
There are some minor differences but I've used the DD2 abdomen in place of the Obitsu 60cm abdomen several times.
