Where I was still in my parents house, that has a big garden, I had 5 cats and two dogs. One of the cats, the oldest, spent a lot of time sleeping on my thighs while I was studying or using the computer...
I reached a maximum of 9 cats in my cat owner's life, when one of my female cat gave birth to 5 kittens and I managed to find a new home only for the only one female kitten. The four male kittens weren't neutered and, once they reached adulthood, only one stayed still at my home after driving away all his brothers.
Now that I live with my hubby I have only resin and ABS cats, and I miss a lot having "the real thing"... my hubby affirms to be allergic, and even if it's really a very bland thing, because when we stay at my parent's home, where the 5 cats still are, he start to sneeze and have bloodshot eyes only if he touches one specific male cat and then do something stupid like rubbing his eyes with dirty hands, I hope to get an house in the near future with at least a small piece of garden to adopt a kitten without giving inconvenients to my husband.

Hubby and I were very happy with one cat. Then we got a roommate with two more, and we love it!

let me tell u about my cats

Well, backstory... when I was a kid, like, eight years old, I discovered that there were stray cats living in the huge hill-side backyard that is behind my house. In fact, I believe it was my great-grandparents who had built the small house sitting in the side of that hill, and my mother's grandmother used to live there, her mother, and for the time that I knew it, all three of my great uncles, each at different times. My great-uncle Muke lived there when I was a kid, and he would feed the cats. Many times I'd go up on that hill as a kid and find cats here and there, and often times litters. I'd even found a pair of albino kittens once, with bright red eyes! Over time, the cats were eventually caught, or they ran off or so, and nowadays there's hardly any cats up on that hill anymore. If there are any, they're from the neighborhood up on the hill across from us. But basically, as a kid, I definitely grew up surrounded by cats... _xD

My first pet-owned cat was Sarah, a tuxedo cat. She was my pal. xB She had three litters in her lifetime, and we'd kept two kittens from her second litter. When those cats grew to cathood, we'd had a situation for a time where those two cats and Sarah ended up having litters at once (that being Sarah's third litter). So we at one point ended up with 13 kittens. After raising them for a while, the kittens were eventually given away. Years down the road we gave away the two cats from Sarah's second litter, and when Sarah was 12, she passed away. I always remember her and always will to me dying day. She was a really awesome cat. Really small, but she had plenty of (c)attitude. xD

These days, we simply have one cat, whom we adopted from a lady who was giving away kittens in a nearby neighborhood. The kitten's name originally was Nut-Meg, and so I decided not to totally blip out her name and called her Megura instead (after Megara from Hercules, but I could never decide on how to spell the name _xD). Meggie is now about six-ish years old, and she's a sweet little thing herself. She's a gray tabby and behaves very well and can understand things pretty easily. She also knows not to use her claws when playing, and she loves laps and to be held and hugged. When she sees something weird on the floor, she usually has to carefully reach her paw out to touch it to make sure of what it is.

You still did better than one of my friend's family. They had an altered male, and an unaltered female. They thought there would be no kittens. and then their young teenage daughter got it in her head that they needed kittens, so she captured a friendly outside male to spend the night with their girl. She, of course, had a litter, but it didn't stop there. They didn't get them out of the house soon enough and they all decided to make more kittens. They had a total of 21 cats and kittens in the house at one point!
They didn't drag their feet any longer after that and got everybody separated and into new homes as soon as possible. Thankfully they did have the money and plenty of room in their extra large house, as well as plenty of extra hands to help out, but still...

Though it was kind of fun to visit and have a pile of cats to wallow in!

When we had so many kittens, it was fun to lie down on the floor and spread out my hair. Then all the kittens would gradually gather around and sleep on my hair, so I'd look like I had kittens for hair. xD

 That sounds cute!

(and much better than what my cats do: they prefer to lay directly on my face)

Hubby and I have one cat, and our new roommate has two. Having three cats wandering around has been really nice! :D They're all so sweet and fluffy.

Well, when I had the three adult cats and the five kittens (with a sixth my sister found half dead near the beach, and we kept apart because for a very long time, consequentially to have being severely sick when he was so little, he continued to periodically become ill) it was fun, even if the kittens didn't really play a lot with us humans. They were really lively and wild (their mother was the least cuddly cat I ever had) and they preferred to run across the garage, fighting each other, spreading their cat litter's sand all around and stealing food from their mother's bowl ^^'

Awwww, Frysiel, kitten's hair sounds so cute! Mother cat sometimes went in my bed and stretched herself around my neck, but when she did this she almost smothered me because she was a nearly obese and incredibly fluffy tabby Norwegian Forests cat
