I keep telling myself 'everything happens for a reason.'

It's a hard mantra to have right now.

Positive thoughts are much needed and appreciated please.

Does it help to think "all things must fart"? I know of how you feel, is there anything any of us can do to help?

Until the car accident I was getting started and making progress on my feet. The whiplash messed up my squeezing and I don't have anyone else who can do it for me.

I'm wondering if it's part arthritis and partially out of socket. My hips pop in and out of socket at their own choosing. They don't always like to go back into place. I'm hoping that's the problem because all that takes is a chiropractor.

Sorry to hear about not having anyone who can help you with the process. That sucks. :(

My knees do that pop out of place thing too. My left knee is the worst and often I can't walk on it for a day or so after. My right knee often goes right back in and the pain goes away after a minuet or so.

I'm sorry about all the hurt bodies on this thread. DollyKim I hope your able to find someone to help soon and Absynthe I hope your hips don't get much worse.

Thank you. I hope so, too. My knees do the same as yours do. I have to wear a brace when that happens as my kneecap won't always go back into place. I may end up investing in a cane to use on really bad days.

Thanks, in the past experiences dictating future expectations generally people suck rocks. Has some #@$! not decided to jump the light and cut us off we wouldn't have been hit and a whole chain of events. Then again had the neighbors not taken our motor we wouldn't have needed a rental. Had the real estate agents we worked with did their @#$! jobs we wouldn't be in this neighborhood living next to those neighbors. Talk about trying to figure out why things happen.

My trouble is on my right side, foot, knee, lower back. I'm so twisted up that leg even looks shorter and I was pondering getting a cane. If your foot is messed up it can pull on your knee which can pull on other things. Kind of like human Jenga.

Thoughts and prayers for everyone who is going through issues right now. I think I could use some as well.

My strong minded, independent, rock solid mother is falling apart. So is her home. I had a phone conversation with my stepdad's youngest sister (who happens to only be about 10 years older than me). She and one of her brothers visited with my mom for a few days last week and she told me things are not good. My mom and stepdad took out a reverse mortgage on the house back when RMs first came out and Mike was still healthy. Now, she's living on 80% of his SSI and is having a hard time making ends meet because something with the house or the car is always going wrong, of course. And since she's required to pay taxes and insurance on the house, she's run into some serious financial straits. We've given her money over the past 2 years and will continue to do as we can, but according to what my aunt said, the house is falling apart. Leaks in the roof, leaky pipes in the bathrooms, a pool my mom can't afford to keep up ... Worse is - she's not eating properly. There is a lot of boxed and bagged food (rice, cereal and the like) that is way past the use-by date. My mom told them she mostly eats Lean Cuisine and the like, but Jeannie said she didn't see a single frozen food box in either of the freezers.

So... Now I have some tough decisions to make. And a phone call to my uncle (my mom's brother) for suggestions. The best of all possible solutions (from my mom's point of view) would be for my uncle to move from Indiana to Florida to be with her. Together they could probably fix what needs fixing and more than make ends meet.

My mom has given up. That's the real problem. She misses Mike so much.

Kirahfaye, I'm sorry to hear about your mom. That happened with my grandmother, but my mom and dad never left their hometown. My aunt and her family moved back so between the two sisters, they do what they can for my grandmother. Thankfully, there aren't many money issues but my grandmother has given up, too. I don't know what to say other than I wish you the best and I'll have you and your family in my prayers.

I was in an accident a few years ago and hurt my leg while staying with my aunt. My cousin was with me, so she was mad at me and refused to do anything about it. Then I got home, and my parents said they wouldnt do anything about it because "it will probably be with me for the rest of my life". BUT at the time, I did a LOT of walking, which helped. then they moved and I wasnt allowed to walk because "the country is dangerous" =/ Well over the two years I lived there, it started hurting more and now that I have moved out, it hurts too much to walk not that i even have the time to walk grrrrrrrrr. and now the pain in my side is starting to act up again too =__= and my "episodes" are starting to come back now that I'm losing weight again T.T WHYYYYYY
Sorry, a little bit of a rant x__X

This is probably a minor suck amongst all of the crap you guys are going through, but.. one of our cats, Mila, went missing :(. She probably fell out of our apartment through the window and she hasn't come back since yesterday afternoon. She's been gone for about 30 hours now. :( :( :( She's an indoors cat and she has never been outside before :'(
