I don't think anybody here is unable to ride one. Our country is very bicycle-minded, hehe. My American friends who visited last Summer couldn't stop taking pictures at the enormous amounts of bikes parked everywhere
In general I don't think bikes are quite as popular in America, but it really depends on the region. Some areas are better for it, and some cities build with it in mind, but others don't. My region has very steep hills and most towns and cities around here don't have the safest of roads for it.
That said, most kids still learn even if they don't keep it up as adults. My mom says she can't understand me or my brother. It took him many months to get a hold of how to ride, and I gave up. When my mom was little my grandfather put her on a bike, gave it a push, and off she went without even so much as training wheels. Obviously neither of us inherited her balance!
On bicycles I'd be there with the trike because of my balance too. I'd have one if they didn't scream "steal me" by everyone for 500 miles around me.
At least I'm not the only one!
Get a recumbent trike - they are seriously great fun!
Cool, yes, but once I gathered enough money for one I'd think of some doll I'd want instead!
