Sweet Dolls Alex half-sized prototype. ^___^

Postby kiki-chan78 » Mon May 06, 2013 8:29 pm

Okay, so I must be insane. Most people are happy if their doll can stand.... I'm happy if they can stand on their hands, or hand. >.>;;;;

Anyway, I'll shut up and show photos of the first Alex prototype. This one is what the 45cm will look like. Since it's the first one out, I didn't bother with making it either male or female, instead concentrating on the jointing. Also, this little guy is about 8 inches tall as opposed to the full 16-17inches the final version will be. ^.~

That doll has obviously trained at a circus or as a gymnast!

What the... how the...

*swings hands wildly in space above doll, looking for the hidden monofilament line*
*sniffs around the place where the hand touches the mat, looking for signs of glue*

:shock:

You're getting this kind of perfect balance out of a jointed doll... that you're creating yourself...?

THAT. IS. SO. AWESOME! (In the truest sense of the word, not just the '80s sense.)

Holy snaps! That is so freaking cool!

I will attempt to make a more constructive comment after my brain cools down. It's been fried with the awesomeness of this.

Love it! Will he be able to do that in the resin version too, you think? I mean, resin is heavier so it might balance differently?
Anyways, I personally like the neutral gender body. It could be perfect for certain types of characters.
