Obitsu fleshtone vs white skin pics?

Postby iron_dog » Fri Mar 09, 2012 8:13 pm

I'm looking at getting an Obitsu in the fleshtone colour and was wondering how much darker it is from the white skin. I have a 27cm white skin and he looks more of a pale NY to me. He's actually only a touch paler than my Lume Koit in NS. The character that the new Obitu would be is supposed to have a golden skin tone. The pictures on the Parabox/Obitsu site are decent, but owner pics are usually better.

Does anyone have both skin tones and could I trouble them for a shot of said skintones side by side? This may be the deal breaker for me between the Obitsu I have in mind and a resin doll cast in tan.

I only have white skin Obitsu's (I have a lot of characters who are pale.)

But here's a pic of an NS and WS side by side. http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&secti ... S#/d495ve8

Not my dolls.

Thank you. that first short with the headless muscle body next to the WS slim is looking very good to me for colour comparison. The character that the Obitsu would be the child version of is a tan doll so it would definitely need to not be so... pasty as the WS is in comparison to the original version. I can work with a little lighter but not too much or it just wouldn't be the character.

I'd love it if tan was a regular option of Obitsus, but I'm trying not to ask for the sun, moon and stars to satisfy my dolly appetite.

From what I understood muscular body normal skin is much darker than the other bodies normal skin... I had in my hands a NS and WS male slim bodies (now the normal skins at my friend's house) but there's not so much difference between them. The normal skin is pinker (more red), the normal skin is more jellowish while the muscular body is darker and browner.

So you need a tan doll to make your character? That's my problem too I found an used obitsu tan but it was such a pain to get and I'm still missing an head... not counting they only made 27 cm female body in tan skin and no other sizes! :(

These are some comparison pics (not by me)

The regular male is darker than the other colors and uses a different head system then all the other Obitsus. If you have any 1/6 scale Volks dolls the normal and white of both companies are comparable, and the light Goh is very close to Obitsu normal.

Nko: Well, damn. The body I'd be getting would be the 23cm male (I don't have any female dolls). There doesn't appear to be a whole lot of difference between the 2 skintones. That sucks. And I want the fairy head for this project and I've never seen that in anything but flesh/white. *sigh*. The tan would be awesome, of course.

Dollykim: Naturally the regular male is darker and closest to what I want when it'd be the 23cm slim male body I'd need for this project *sigh*.

Thanks guys. Since dying an Obitsu isn't really an option and spraying/airbrushing the entire doll would likely not work well with the amount of handling the doll would most likely get, I may have to drop the idea of having this character as an Obitsu and go with an entirely resin model. Damn, and I really liked this idea.

I think there is one tan Dolffie Plus Mini Male left in their store that they didn't sell out of
<.<

Not sure if that will work.

The tan looks right but the head I wanted was the pixy one by Obitsu and the skin tones they offer wouldn't come close to the Volks tan body *sigh*.
