Bombing At Boston Marathon

Postby Kirahfaye » Mon Apr 15, 2013 2:13 pm

I'm putting this here because we have friends in the Boston area and so far, so good with the ones we expected to be there. Please pray for all of the people hurt and for the families of those killed.

I don't know what else to say.

Here is a video of one explosion.

It's so....I can't even find the right word. I don't know anyone who's down there, thankfully, but it's still so scary.

I don't know anyone out that way either, but my heart goes out to those who have died or are injured and their families.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

My mother is in Boston right now. I'm trying to call her. I'm sure she's ok, but it would be nice to hear her voice and confirm it.

Can you text? According to the news the cell towers are all backed up still. I know it's not the same, but it's something :/

I don't have texting on my cell phone. Thanks for telling me about the cell towers. I forgot about those.

Welcome! They just said on CBS that the towers are down until they're sure the detonators aren't being controlled via mobile device. Darn about the texting though. Hopefully everything will be back up in a bit so you can get in contact with her!

Everything is cool. I'm talking to her now on Facebook. I knew she was fine, but it's still nice to talk to her. She's a Buddhist nun and they are getting the temple ready to for people to come in and pray.

We have a couple of people on here from Boston- I think OkamiKodomo is in Boston now. So please if you live in that area, check in and let us know that you're okay?
