She's even going to have a concert in Chicago (the Mayne Theater) on my birthday but hubby nixed the idea of going just because it's Chicago.

What's wrong with it being in Chicago? Too far away?

Nah. Too many shootings in the city. If it was St. Louis, we'd be on it, even though St. Louis is almost as wonky as Chicago. *sigh*

I am doing all of the practice runs in different colors and the final one in red.

I think some of my dolls want to come and live at your house. You make better clothes than I do, laugh. I'm working on it but I'm envious. Those are nice.

Finally doing something with the Chain Maille links I have. You need 2 different sizes to do this, no tools just fingers. The cut ends of the links could scratch dolls if next to their skin but could work well on clothes.


Smaller magenta links are paired with dark grey ones and linked with pink or lighter grey.

I'm experimenting with white charcoal. I rarely use it when I do charcoal drawings so I decided to do an entire piece on black charcoal paper with it.
I still have quite a ways to go.

Big hole beads and charms that need a better light. Flash would reflect off the glass too much.

Making a cardigan for my incoming doll out of the sleeves of an old sweater; it's mostly together but needs finishing. I've been satin stitching(with yarn) around the unfinished edge but it's getting wavy/crinkly. I hope ironing it when it's finished solves that problem.

I did a second hat, but it is less like the movie hat than the first. I have enough orange felt to try the hat a few more times before I change colors.. I have been reading up on forming hats and have a coouple of ideas to try.

I found a full size hat picture to use for a reference. I am going to try and find velvet ribbon to give the right effect on the crown.

Working on the Ciel cosplay for Omi. I need to add in all the closures on the shirt and pants. Need to make his jacket, stockings/socks and the add-ons for the shoes to complete this cosplay. Debating whether or not I should bother with the eye-patch and risk his face-up. >.>;;;

I might end up making the shorts again, except a little longer depending on how I feel about them tomorrow. XD
