Kurhn dolls! Should I get one? (or two?)

Postby claws » Sun Mar 31, 2013 1:16 am

I was browsing Ebay for doll clothes and found this Image

which, for some reason, I just have to have. And then I found this one,

Image

which is just so cute. There was also a fruit stand one that I need and one that has short hair and three outfits that are really cute, and one with a less modern chinese outfit that is sooo nice. Does anyone have one (okay, dumb question, I know you do XD) and what do you think of them? I think the bedroom set one isn't jointed, but the other one is. I'm even willing to overlook that, because these are so adorable. But I'm about to spend like $80 on two dolls. Am I wasting my money or are they worth it?

I don't have one myself, but Toybox Philosopher did a review of them, with body comparisons etc: http://www.toyboxphilosopher.com/2013/01/kurhn-dolls-part-one-3029-green.html

I also don't have one, but a blog I follow did a review of the first set you posted.

I have several at home, they're lovely dolls! The overall quality of the paint and accessories is usually excellent. And if you end up getting one that doesn't have the articulated body, the heads usually match Obistu white (some match Obitsu normal).

I have one and I love her. Mind you I bought her as more of a display doll (I have one of the historical chinese wedding ones), but I think she has a very sweet face and I would recommend them to anyone :)

@Anderson'sAllPurpose, @Nella: Thank you guys! :D

@Pandor: Ooh, good! They have such pretty faces, and I'm glad they can use Obitsu bodies. If that one with the bedroom set really starts to bother me, I'll get her one. :)

@Greyhaunt: I saw the ones with the traditional Chinese dresses and they're so beautiful. ^_^ I think my only problem now is which to get!

I've got one. Bought her from ChinaSprout and I totally love her. The clothing is really well made, at least for the traditional Chinese clothing ones. I really love her.

Oh I'm glad to hear she's so high quality. I had also stumbled upon her on Ebay years ago and loved her cute face.

KitKat: Is China Sprout better than Ebay? That's where I just bought mine, from flyingannalee. The shipping prices aren't so great with them ($8/doll, 10% off total cost if you buy six or more dolls), but they have a good selection. They offer half off shipping if you request the doll without the box, but I really wanted the boxes with them. :P

zirconmermaid: I did! XD I got the bedroom set one and this one-

I'm so excited. I'm going to clear a space just for them. I think I want to get more later...I really loved the one with the fruit stand; she's so pretty and she has such cute accessories with her. :D She reminds me of the female lead in the Korean drama Rooftop Prince, which I loved. That character also had a fruit stand.
