Big dissertation project going a lot more slowly than I'd hoped for this time of year - just worked out that the procedure I need/have developed will take days extra - just becuase you can't buy the polymer in question - you need to make it yourself, and that adds curing time... ugh, I know it's a Masters degree but I'd hoped for at least a little guidance from my supervisor on this...

I'll start with something good and let it roll down hill, Milky the dog who lost her eye had to wait for me to come out of my room just to laugh at me and dare me to chase her. She is feeling great. Over a week past the car wreck and I still haven't seen a doctor and my back and ned are still bothering me.

After months and months of fighting with our "health care plan" to get them to take my sister for a brain scan to address her headaches and other complaints we find out she has an infection in the front of her head. We hope that explains why her bitch buttons have been pressed and her judgement has been a bit lax when it comes to "aliens" and the people she deals with on the internet. I suspect it has something to do with her teeth which are a mess because we don't have dental, I also suspect we'll get a car and something can arrive to the US from Australia via pack mule before she gets treated.

So far it's not "serious" but it could have been treated a lot easier if they had listened to us last year.

by front of the head, do you mean the brain or the sinuses? because the frontal lobes do control judgement and impulse control, and injury to that could make someone easier to anger and such.

Kind of both and kind of we don't exactly know because she's yet to see a doctor about it. It's definitely on her bitch button because her TBI was to the back and affected other things. It's just another thing to get heaped on to our lack of a car. The medical transportation will pick up my mom, the other transport drives past our house but won't stop here, and the company thinks walking 20 blocks to the bus, taking 3 hour long or so routes with 2 transfers to a few miles away from the imaging center counts as transportation.

If she has to have surgery she might not get it because she's allergic to most anesthetics and the alternates might not be covered. It's the stupidest sh*t in the universe with this company. Again it's something I'm stuck dealing with pretty much alone around here too. I'm not deep in to psych but I wonder if I'm showing some signs of regression seeking out books and movies from my childhood and getting in to other kids' entertainment. I know my squirreling tendencies are rearing their heads.

A year ago things were okay and my biggest complaint was having to stay home to baby sit the puppies because Gidget was trying to mommy them herself. Now it's just one bummer after another.

I am drowning in taffeta... I mean seriously.. I think this overskirt and bodice is a good 10 yards of it. I've one more piece to sew on then I have to hand pleat the whole thing! Making rococo dresses... is proving to be a major challenge. Alas, I have only today and tomorrow to finish this beast.

well I think lack of good sleep for about two weeks is really starting to get to me. I'm starting to get increased anxiety again. I can barely sleep at night anymore and my appetite has gone down. I barely eat now.

My younger brother is deploying to Kuwait on April 6th, and the youngest brother may possibly be going to Africa. I already have enough to worry about right now... I am so proud of them for their service, but I wish they didn't have to go.
