Have you tried working on a watercolor block? They help control curling when wet.

I experimented with a crochet Monster dress to reuse some thread and now I have to fight the urge to make one for each of my Monsters.

Working on getting all the dolls together that I'll need for my current photostory project.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

I haven't worked on my MSD dollhouse at all for months because I didn't have a proper workspace. Today I finally had energy to do some cleaning up in the house :D. My boyfriend helped me move (um, well, he did it on his own) my wardrobe closet from my hobbyroom to our bedroom to save me some room. Tomorrow I'll move my hobby desk into a different corner of my hobby room to make some space for my dollhouse - so I can finally work on it again!!

The first thing to do isn't fun: the first floor I built isn't stable enough, so I'm gonna have to take it apart again before I can put it back together and start building the second and third floor. But as long as I have some space to work on that I'll be okay :D. Can't wait!!

Also, Rosa's long fat hybrid neck bothers me. My friend Cynthia, a doll hobbyist and awesome resin modding expert who happens to live very close to me (like, a 10 minute bike ride) will help me with the modding a bit, but first I'll do some sanding to make it a bit thinner myself. So exciting, especially since the body is quite yellow, so I'm not sure what to expect when I'll start sanding her.

Time to photograph all the 1/6 Doctors and the Duck Tae TARDIS, it got away from me after Elebenty arrived. Now that I found music fabric to match the Blythe doll case I need to make a pattern for a purse and tote bag, as I am in need of both. Cool thing is I can use the record player wallet and boom box pouch I already have. My present purse is covered with cassette tapes. What I wish I could find was all over Union Jacks or newspapers to line the purse with.

And I'm going to try tatting again. I think I figured out how to do the thread flip now and will try working with two colors of thread. Shuttle tatters know what the flip is. Grandma left me a sterling silver and a few what I guess are Bakelite shuttles.

I've been so busy preparing my MomoCon costume I've not had time for anything else.

I have been working on A Doll A Day 2013

I have only gotten behind once this month. The other time, I didn't like the picture so I redid it and deleted the original the next day.

I'm making a Transformers Prime costume. Knockout! <3 He's my favorite, a shiny red Aston Martin. <3

It's my first foray into armor-type costumes. Lots of fun, very time consuming. I've already burned through 32 giant sticks of hot glue. Ha!

Almost done!

Almost ready to put elbows and knees on the air dry doll I'm working on, going to look in to supplies for polymer clay Doodlebops, and some serious crocheting is in my future as I work down from 00 to 14.
