I keep Naomi and Smokey in their respective box/carrying case. Mostly because I am not home to keep an eye on them and don't have any shelf space available.

Î'm working on transforming a shelf right next to my desk into doll territory. I added a second shelf thingy to enlarge it, there's quite a lot of space on there now, but I guess it'll be cramped enough once I get everyone home. So far my single girl is having the run of it

I keep all my dolls on my dresser, either sitting or standing. Sunlight does hit them occasionally, but they haven't visibly suffered for it from what I can tell. I like being able to see them so I keep them out at all times.

I have an antique sideboard that is set up as Hazel's house. However she always ends up in the living room with me instead! My dolls sit around the house mostly, taking up an entire chair!

I have book shelves for some and they're also on a table behind the bed, and on a shelf above the computer. Light isn't much of an issue here. My place is very dark. A lot of them are boxed though in storage containers. I have so many dolls that I have to rotate them pretty much. Some would say too many, but I don't care. I like them and someday when I have the time and the $$$ and no roommates I'll put them all over the place as I like. Right now space tight though and I can't really do that and not completely overwhelm anyone living with me.

My 1/6ers invaded the computer table and took over half the 2nd shelf. They moved the display cases of gashaphon folks over to the next table but half of that table was taken over a pair of 1/3 duo. The gashaphon folks would probably migrate again when the 3rd small big one comes along.

The 1/6ers don't have much of a diorama unless sitting around on boxes and mini tables counts. I lack space for a permanent diorama so they might get a seasonally themed display or three if I feel like it (I have one coming up)

In my previous home I had them on a white tall bookshelf. I had decorated the top shelf (where I kept my 1/6 dolls) with an Ocean background, shells and coral. The middle section was bigger and is where my 1/3 girls were. The bottom was more 1/6 girls, mostly boxed ones. I was on the top floor and got some decent light. In my new place I keep my dolls in the closet for now on some shelves built into the closet. The room gets very little light so its good for the dolls but not so good for getting their pictures taken. I'm hoping to get a glass cabinet someday that I can decorate again and store all my dolls :)

My bigger dolls-1/6 to 1/4- have a living room set up on an antique table. My 1/12 & 1/24 have rooms around my bedroom. I hope to get the Victorian dollhouse i got in 2011 decorated and lit this year.

My 1/6ers, Harrison and Raven, currently live in an "apartment" atop my desk, full of makeshift furniture and old waterbottles. Now that my walk-in closet's clean, however, I'm planning on rebuilding and expanding an old dollhouse of mine. It's currently called the Barbie Dream Dungeon.

Leah lives in a 1/4 scale world that consists of her box and sometimes the odd American Girl furniture piece I find lying around. I plan on making cardboard box/wire cube "apartments" for my 1/4 gang once I have the time/money/more 1/4 dolls/more 1/4 stuff.
