Has anyone ever tried to root a beard?

That sounds so difficult! Couldn't you use flocking instead?

Today I worked on a skating outfit for Myri. I had to, I found ice skates that fit.

It took me two tries to get it right. Luckily she has a taller sister coming for Christmas.

I'd say flock it or use roving wool for a longer one. I used wool for Rian's hair, it was styled like a wig then glued in place.

I have two projects on the go. One for me and one for my dolls. The one for me is my 1700s New France period dress for re-enactments. I'm still tracing the pattern pieces. The one for my dolls is for Alwyn. It's a shirt I'm trying to make using a patternless tutorial from DenofAngels. The front and back are being cut but I'm using the first shirt as a basic pattern for her.

I'm working on a doll themed holiday display with a tree and my Delilah's and all. I got the tree mostly trimmed but I got tired and decided to do the rest tomorrow. I still need to find some material for the skirt in my bins and a little doll to use for an angel. Plus I need to find a couch I have tucked away for the girls to sit on and these little ornament packages to put underneath.

Yes, it's really strange to do! We rooted a full beard for "Kolka" from Final Fantasy, and some stubble for Chad/Yuuichirou from Sailor Moon--it's so ugly on the doll, it's somehow cute. :?

I believe we also rooted a beard for another character from an anime---the one with the character 'Ghaleon' I think.

I'll try to dig up those pics.....

Actually finished the planned work for me website, which means that one last doll should arrive today, another PTE sculpt. That leaves finishing the Pancake home made ball joint doll, making the baby dragon's head, and editing Xavier's story collection, working another doll shelf in, organizing the closet a smidge better, getting rid of some more stuff, and a partridge in a pear tree to do.

Seriously though it's Pancake teaching me about doll joints and Xavier's stories as the most important. Dragon baby goes without saying although Lily loves her S hook for a head dolly.

AAhh, hehehe... those are awesome Setsunakou.

Beards are pretty awesome. There's a football player that has a beard like a viking warrior. The thing is huge! It has it's own facebook page. I thought it would be fun to make an obitsu with a massive awesome man-beard of epic proportions. It would be the beard to end all beards. Or it might look like a dead chipmunk on his face, either way. Beards!
