to be honest I've been more into trashy historical romance novels lately.

After attempting to read Twilight books 1 and 2 and being unable to get through either due to those constant little "storytelling things" that drove me out of my mind, I have pretty much sworn off everything Stephanie Myer. I figure if she can't improve her talent as a writer by now, I doubt she ever will.

Come to think of it, that's pretty much why I won't see the rest of the movies. If Kristin Stewart and Rob Patterson haven't improved their talent as actors by now, I doubt they ever will.

Speaking of trashy romance novels, I've gotten hooked on Karen Marie Moning's series. I usually can't stand romance novels but she's a pretty good writer, plus there's actual plot that doesn't focus solely about the main characters banging each other every three pages. Plus, she doesn't use those flowery terms describing certain acts that makes me want to throw the book at the wall. It's refreshing.

lol that's basically me except the trailer for the movie looked really interesting (before I even new it was a Meyer book) and I ended up picking up the challenge after my assessment of the trailer made someone scoff at me. I had a knee jerk reaction that was like "I told you I didn't know anything about it but now I'm gonna learn because you're an @$$!" :P I was going to learn anyway, but I was going to read other's reviews of the book and not subject myself to it. :x I only just finished Chapter 1 and all I got is: The human girl is only mostly-dead. I don't know... falling down an elevator shaft would give the results of all-dead... but maybe that's just me.

A few weeks ago trashy romance novels was all I would consume. They are an easy escape for the most part. I may wish I just stuck to that.

Making the trailers look good is all part of the job, especially if it's a misleading trailer. Giving it all away in REC anyone?

The last book-movie combo I enjoyed was Picnic at Hanging Rock. Do the movie first, although the more readily available director's cut actually takes out a needed part, then if you can find the book it really makes the mysterious mystery of mysteries that much better. I haven't seen more than five seconds of any of the Twilights and won't be reading them. I get all I know from memes and my little sister.

I wish I could tell you. But even at chapter 2- which could arguably be chapter 3- has given me nothing but "THESE ARE ALIENS AND THEY TAKE OVER BODIES. Why? I DON'T KNOW." We have Body Snatchers mixing with Buddist reincarnation belief.

All I cry for is a back story. That's it. Why can't I have it?

Lately I have been totally absorbed in reading Fruits Basket manga and reblogging various things on tumblr. :D Oh, and I wish I didn't have to leave my warm flat to go outside where it's cold and snow is covering almost all paths. At one place snow was reaching my knees!

But outside at the mail box is where dolls come from.

The others in the family are at the court case for the car and I'm enjoying the calm before the storm. I'm bracing for a laundry list of everything win or lose. If they do win I doubt they'll get paid. At least that part will be over.

The Host is an alright book, I actually ended up liking it. But you won't be getting back story for awhile...it's kinda strewn throughout the book, it kinda feels like you just get enough to understand bit by bit(which is frustrating at points). It takes awhile to pick up(and sometimes it flows a little weirdly), but I did enjoy it, and I've read it more then once(twice, I read it twice, but I re-read books a lot). I found quite a few of the characters completely un-likable(but that happens for a lot of books).

Dunno what else to put, do you have any questions? :D

P.S. The elevator shaft thing will make more sense down the road. Well it kinda will, but it is explained!
