They're small I saw one. We got snap traps, glue traps and our zap traps. I don't know what plastacine is and we're a little tight on money. We've been baiting them with nutella and peanut butter but so far no luck. It's one smart rodent. We baited the snap traps with cheese and peanut butter to glue it down...And these things are DELICATE. It kept going off when we were putting them down.

No I haven't...But I think we got rid of the rodent. We found it in a trash bag and tossed the trash bag out.

So compared to Grey's suck mine is so trivial, but....

My game closed last night. I was logged on to the the shutdown. And when I got the disconnect screen I broke down and cried so hard I was coughing and wheezing.

Maybe it's not so trivial. If it was just a game I could replace it, but how do you replace a home?

No, Misty, it was not trivial. It counted. Big. You invested a portion of your heart to that game and the people and characters you care for still. You have a unique investment (one I actually understand as I was invested in SWG having been a founding member of the Cantina Crawl videos). Heck, your books were ensconced in the city library, so yes - not at all trivial.

You are used to being the one who decides the fate of your characters and the direction of your story. This time someone else told you when, where and how it all ended, turning a deaf ear to your protests. Not only did you not have a say in it, you were ignored and made to feel inconsequential.

So, yeah. Not trivial.

Oh, I'm so sorry, Misty! It's not "just a game", it's an alternate reality, and losing that must be really hard. Like losing a dream.

Omg that happened to me- a game I had so many friends on went under.
we stayed friends on the forum.
Eventually Steam took the game on.
we also all created worlds on second life so we could meet and talk.
I dont know what "game" you are speaking of, but I do know the deep pain of loss of a virtual home.

I know City of Villains (and Heroes) tanked or is tanking... really sad, even though I can't play it on my PC anymore. The news about broke my friend's heart, as she defined who she is as a person now via that game.

Speaking of PC, I could whine about that, but meh. Usually I end up eating rice over dolls. I'm on a forced doll-buying hiatus. I'm not getting PC parts this month either. And I'll still be eating rice. Cuz I wanna get my name changed before my birthday (the day the world ends lol), and it costs $135 because you have to put a stupid ad in the paper for 15 days in case someone wants to contest your name change (seriously, wtf!?).

So I'm gonna do that tomorrow, hopefully. And I have a doctor's appointment too, plus a package I need to take to the post office. I'm nervous about all the social aspects of tomorrow, and on top of it I'm having trouble walking even just one mile now. I'm not-quite 35 and walking is one of my last real means of transportation.

Also, I haven't posted here in ages and am behind on everything everywhere. Moo.

I've had 2 people just up and walk away from me and of course I wondered if there was something about me they didn't like, but in the end there's nothing I can do about it if I don't know what it was exactly. Though of course the more I analyze it the more I realize losing friend #1 was probably better for my health (considering they were quite manipulative), but friend #2 really got me through the worst crap so when I stopped hearing from them and they excluded me from their marriage news- I was really hurt. Felt blindsided by a semi. But there's no point wasting my emotions over a friendship that was clearly one-sided. I think all I would really want from them now was an explanation, but we could never go back to being friends. :/

Losing people who are close to you really sucks, but eventually you just have to stop and say to yourself "if they couldn't work it out with you, then they were obviously not the friends for you." I just wanted to share some comfort with the people of the last Sucks thread who had reported losing friends, cause man have I been there and I know nothing healthy comes from dwelling on it.

I think people grow and change all the time; sometimes they grow for the better, and sometimes they don't grow at all and instead go in a direction that does the exact opposite. I try to keep myself open for the people who are obviously growing and changing for the better.

Soooooo..... after a while of being alright with stuff, my mom threw a bitchfit about me working both friday and saturday nights of every weekend recently and made me ask my manager for one weekend night off every week..... cause she wants me to babysit my brother so she can go out drinking

And I had to do it, cause she said she was going to go and talk to manager if I didn't ask T__T

Good thing the current manager and assistant manager are understanding of my family situation..... although we are understaffed and they pretty much told me sometimes I will have to work full weekends even if my mom is going to bitch about it. (Asst. mgr said she'd see what she could do about the schedule... she knows what a bitchtruck my mom can be.)
