I'm working on a baby blanket for my cousin's baby shower coming up on the 10th. I am only 1/4 of the way finished.
It's using a Catherine Wheel pattern (shells?) and I'm using two colors. It's lovely so far but I am not sure I will be able to finish it on time. 0_0;''

I'm working on putting together a doll from a floating head I've had for well over a year.
It's been part to keep me busy (I've also sewn a bunch of new pillowcases this week for presents...) and partly because I'm going to a event where you interview a bunch of grad-schools over the course of a day and it was suggested that I bring one of my dolls for a sample of some of the interesting things I can do.
I wanted a fresh one to show my work. This means, all new clothing, face-up, everything.
Plus, it just so happened I have a character in mind that I've been meaning to make a doll of that fit this head well.

I've so far done his face-up. His wig is in the mail as of yesterday.



Next step is figuring out clothing for the fellow.

Green, blue, and lavender reroots before gift buying season kicks in to high gear, chain maille something, a pouch to carry the small crochet hook I bought just for the size 10 thread with the strap being string of crochet motifs like gingerbread men or cake slices out of the different colors I have so I can keep track of what I have and not buy double.

Resting my hands somewhere between it all.

Tonight I started on my Unoa Sist modding project. ^^ A few months ago I bought a faceplate second hand and only after removing the faceup found out that it had been modded. I was very disappointed until I decided I'd turn her into my own modding project without feeling bad if I'd ruin it because it was already modded anyway.

I made her eyes smaller, removed the holes that were drilled in the corners of her mouth and gave her pointy ears. I hope she turns out okay ^^

I just (finally) finished a human-size commission that was driving me nuts. Now I hope Stella makes an appearance tomorrow so I can sew for her instead ^^ So many ideas, but still no doll ... ! She'll be getting a complete winter set, boots and all.

Ooh, can't wait to see her winter apparel! And Iler doesn't have pointy ears even though she's a half elf, but yeah, they're probably from the same fantasy world. ^^ Don't expect too much of my Unoa's ears though, lol. They turned out a bit troll-like . Hey, it's my first modding project ever!!
