I had a really weird one last night. I can't remember all of it, but there are other circumstances that make it even more strange. I recently made a new friend. A surprisingly close friend in a very short amount of time. Yesterday, I worked an open to close shift, on a very busy day. I was so wired from being on the go, that I couldn't shut down. I went to sleep very late. (4:30am). It's different from my bouts of insomnia, because it wasn't that I hated the idea of going to sleep, it was that I couldn't turn my brain off. I wanted to get up and GO and DO and BE and sleep was not a priority to my brain.

So when I finally did get to sleep, I didn't even remember actually doing so. Just Head Meet Pillow and gone. I started dreaming about real life. In particular, this friend and I were talking. Now, we've never met in person, she lives in the northeast, I live in the southeast. While we were talking, I was discussing suicide. Not for myself, but as a general topic. And I was telling her about when I went to college in Elmira. When I woke up, it took me a while to realize it was a dream at all. Now comes the weirdest part. I did not tell her this in the dream, or in real life, but when I was in college, I went through some very severe depression, and did in fact contemplate suicide, though never actually tried to follow through.

On my way to work, she sends me a text asking me if I was ok. Because she had a dream about me last night, as well. She said that she'd been having a weird sense of deja vu all morning, and said that in her dream, I actually attempted suicide. In college.

It had me all tied up in knots all morning.

So I had a super-freaking-weird dream last night... can't remember all of it... it was one of the damned ones where my father is in it...

I remember it started with two little fat girls, one black and one white, pushing a Power Wheels into the middle of my street. (They were not anyone I had met in real life, and I fear they were caused by pictures I've seen in tabloid magazines of that Honey Boo Boo girl ... please get out of my subconscious :| )

ANYWAY. In the dream, I told a police officer who just happened to be passing by that the two girls had pushed the stuff in to the street (there was also one of those plastic children's slides, and some other things, I think...?) and he was like "ok".

I don't remember any of the rest except it was raining and my little brother was late for school, and we had a van, and my mother was wearing a pair of glasses that she hasn't worn in real life in like 10 years...

And my father and I were yelling at each other at some point, for some reason.

T__T at times like these, I hate my brain.

Most of the time, my dreams are lucid dreams. I have smelled things in dreams, tasted things in dreams, and felt physical pain in dreams before.

And I never get that thing where I realize it's a dream while it's happening. Sometimes it takes a minute after I wake up for it to sink in that it was a dream.

One time last summer, I woke up with tears pouring down my face because I dreamed that one of my real life friends had a heart attack while we were trying on swimsuits and died. T__T

I've got to read this thread later, dreams are so fun!

I used to have lots of really weird really funny dreams. I'd wake up and laugh my ass off hehe.

Haven't had any in years that I remembered, but finally I had an interesting one last night! Unfortunately, like all my dreams I don't remember all of it, but the parts that I do remember are amusing and none of my dreams ever make any sense or seem to follow a cohesive storyline.

I remember being in a 1 story building that was kind of like a mall. There was a bank and some stores, but it was also a college as well. I had just finished classes and was going home. I had left my belongings in my locker and for some reason I knew something big and bad was going to happen and I had to get out of the building but I was kind of reluctant because I really didn't want to leave my purse back there.

I wasn't given a choice though because there was a huge explosion in the middle of the building that knocked me off my feet. I was close to an exit, so I went outside, but somehow I knew that my locker wasn't blown up as it was on the other side of the building near the bank so I wanted to try to find a way to get back in.

Cut to visiting my aunt who had a reaaaally interesting house in this dream. In the beginning of this part of the dream it was my fairly well-off aunt, so I guess the house was attributed to her wealth. It was like a giant cylinder and there was a spiral walkway that ran all around the edges from top to bottom. Kind of hard to describe, but it's like there was a pole running from top to bottom of the cylinder and there were like 7 floors connected by the pole and the spiral walkway. The walkway was far enough from the wall.s of the cylinder that you could see the bottom from the top. It was really fun jogging around the spiral lol. It was a really awesome house.

At some point though the aunt that I was visiting became my aunt that has a bunch of cats and I was there to pick up one of her cats to take to my house to catch the mice. But then I couldn't decide between 2 cats so I was going to take both of them home.

And that's where the dream ends as I was packing up the cats.

Yeah we were both sufficiently freaked out. Even now, a few days later, I'm still tripping out about it.

@Drilli I've been in that mall. Does the architecture have a body like design? The roof of mine is like a spine with ribs coming out. Buildings usually represent a part of you and collected in something like a mall or a theme park with different units acting as a whole could have something to do with your self. An explosion wants you to pay attention to that particular part of yourself be it body or mind.

I had to wake up in the middle of the night to take notes to put in my dream journal. Fat kittens, affirmation my idea that a movie and TV show a good 20 years apart are in the same universe, trying to leave an old couch behind but having to stay in the same area for something involving Xavier's story.

wow I had to read your story Okami after so many people commented. Definitely freaky! I'd be weirded out.

lol DollyKim. I guess it's a popular mall. Mine was just a simple square though. You'd think there should be a courtyard in the middle but there wasn't.

Interesting about the interpretation. Have you studied dreams? Or you have a book?
I have been having health problems lately and I've been seeing doctors, but I've been kind of slow about looking into it because the cold weather is heading in fast and I have so much I want to get done before it gets too cold to do it.
