She may not be able to rematerialize (It was Diamond after all who gave her the body she inhabited) but to think of her now, resident in Advanced Medica's internal network, doing her damage! Heeheeheeheehee Poetic justice!
We might, of course, all be wrong and the little "friend" could in fact be a harmful entity. But my money's on Hyatt!
How would Hyatt get INTO that network that's sealed off from all other networks? That's the question.
The only thing I can think of is through either Anna Marie (not likely, but we STILL don't know HER background) or Miyuki (Also not likely because while Miyuki was still IN Advanced Medica's claws, Hyatt was *avoiding* her like the ILoveYou Virus. The only "entry point" I see is when Anna Marie, carrying Hyatt, went to the computer screen, touched it and the screen went fuzzy.
Anna Marie told Diamond that she had been in "a dark place" . Obviously Hyatt had consciousness after she left Anna Marie. There is no reason to believe she lost that consciousness. It's a classic TSR (Terminate and stay resident) program. BUT, the computer she entered was (as far as we know) ever connected to advanced Medica's internal networked computers.
SO... the question remains... HOW did Hyatt enter the Advanced Medica internal sealed off database?
UNLESS......
We know Miyuki communicated to Jazz BEFORE she left Advanced Medica. Remember the whole Star Trek and Lieutenant Miyuki sequence? It COULD be that a 'bridge' was formed. Not between Miyuki and Jazz, but between Miyuki and the web-spider, VTX.
We know there is a connection between Anna Marie and Miyuki. When they first met they commented that they felt like sisters. That they felt like they had known each other before. So Hyatt's transit could have been Anna Marie > Miyuki > VTX > Advanced Medica's computers. VTX might have been 'infected' by a dormant Hyatt, OR Hyatt-clone earlier, which manifested the instant VTX connected with Advanced Medica's drives. OR entered VTX at some point when Jazz was in the Internet with VTX earlier.
The other scenario is that the "friend" is either N-3, which we have not yet seen., the 'sister' of Noriko and her sister Nyoko. Maybe she's hiding in Nyoko-Chan's cleavage!! We're talking terabyte boob storage, Fringies!!
It could also be, of course, that the "friend" is harmful. We will just have to wait and see.
