thanks, Dirili! I have no life, she says repressively. making up doll clothes is so much faster than human sized! And someday I can see finally running out of quad4 snaps.
And this week I have double no life, since I'm frantically tidying to get ready for the annual Labor Day weekend invasion of musicians. So, no sewing, no bunkbeds, no chair for the dollieh this week. Waaah.
I'm turning my Bratzilla into "Poppy" a little sister for one of my custom MT's who's named Scarlet. (They are the perfect size for younger siblings for the MT's I think.) I love her eyes as is but I took off the dark lip paint. I just didn't like it much. I gave her hot pink lips and nails instead to soften her look a bit. I wanted less monster, more normal girl. I tried everything to soften her hair but it was a no go. I boiled it, conditioned it, even tried fabric softener on it. Nothing helped that frizzy mess so regretfully, because I just loved the color, I finally cut it all off. Someday soon I think I will reroot her with her original color or some mix thereof but definitely in saran. She's got the Ruby Liv wig on for now and it looks pretty good. I restyled and used the Bratz red wig that came with Cloe to make new hair for Scarlet then gave Poppy her wig so they would look related. Put the white and black one on Cloe so she looks like a Cloe. FYI, Stardoll shoes fit Bratzillas fairly well but MH shoes, at least the ones I've tried so far don't. Pics in a bit. Poppy's paint has to dry before I can dress her. I'll take a pic of her and Scarlet later together and post it in this thread though.
I know I say this for practically every update but, she's looking great Kiki-chan! ^_^ Aww, the Blarney is coming along great DollyKim. ^_^ I never really understood why people docked certain puppies tails, I guess they can break easily?
I was told Great Danes were docked because when they got happy they knocked stuff off of tables? haha (no seriously, some guy told me that his GD kept breaking lamps off their tables.)
I believe it... my uncle had an English Pointer, and my sister has an English Pointer mix and those dogs have long freaking HARD tails! If they come stand next to you wagging their tail, it's like getting smacked with a switch. And my sister's dog is clumsy as hell, so it just makes things worse lol.
But man, I could just imagine how a Great Dane's tail would be!
I believe I had read before though that clipping ears and tails is mainly for looks, so many people are against it. I'm not sure if there are some breeds or not that have problems that would make docking necessary.
Oh, I do know that some Labradors are known to sprain their tails frequently. Happened once to a lab we were dog-sitting for a few months. She suddenly stopped wagging her tail and we didn't know why, but the vet said that it happens sometimes with labs and some other dogs. Just takes some time to heal.
