I also collect Barbie dolls, though that wasn't why I came here, it's a bonus that they're not a forbidden topic.
I've never done a repaint or reroot (yet) but have made some clothes for them. My painting tiny things experience comes from Warhammer Fantasy. My first BJD is planned to be my Cleric character from the Korean MMORPG in which I met my husband. In my char's backstory, she looks somewhat doll-like, and sews as a hobby. I'd like to make some of the in-game outfits, and original fashions she would wear. If I enjoy the face-up process, maybe I'll do one of my husband's character to keep her company. :}
