Okay, so fur wigs are like, the simplest thing ever to make, but I really like this one and how Ume looks in it. It suits him a lot more than I thought it would. Also the fur is so lush and pettable hehe *o*

Perfect Patterns skirt and blouse (linen lined with silk twill for skirt, more twill for blouse).
And a pair of tap-pants from a 30s pattern.

AND I got the hinges and latches for my wardrobe trunk so I'd better track down that plywood.

I continued working on my MSD-size dollhouse today. I started on some actual construction work. Terribly exciting as I don't think I've ever held a hammer before.

Apparently, I'd rather re-do stuff than continue on with as-yet umade stuff.

Two dolls, need two beds. Thinking back to my childhood, my sister and I slept in old US Army bunkbeds. They could be taken apart into two separate beds, and the ends came off so you could move them.

Here's my doll-size sketch.



I'll try pine this time (cheaper but not as straight as hardwood). Can't cut anything until I have Thing One (first doll) in hand tomorrow and can measure so she does not whack her head or anything.

AND I can re-use the mattress and feather bed I made for the first bed (really unsatisfying because it cannot be taken apart and stored, and it is rather more fragile than I like) for the couch-configuration version of this set.

Yesterday afternoon, I got to hang out with one of my best friends all afternoon and do craft projects. For an early birthday present, she gave me a box full of wonderful crochet threads. While we were talking, I crocheted. It works up so much better than any thread i have used. Everyone may got new clothes when I finish crocheting a new wardrobe for Myri.

I found some Blarney colored yard so I'm going to use the Knit Your Own Dog book and make a huggable Blarney to wear the collar with her name on it that she almost grew in to. Might make a doll again soon, an obscure one shot Star Trek Voyager character called Saowin.
