Going back to just one doll?

For me the main reason is to get some piece of mind. I feel so much pressure from having to make all these dolls some clothes, it's not fun anymore. I want one doll to spoil the heck out of ^^

LOL, and here I'm in the process of creating a DOC/Soom faun hybrid and am jonesing for another SD girl.

But, no, Evelien, don't feel bad about wanting to scale back on the number of dolls you have. Since you can take your time, you can make sure they get good homes and not worry about them.

What I do when I'm feeling overwhelmed or just want one to focus on is I leave out the one or two I want to work with and put away the others for a few days(or however long). Then I can focus on their clothes or pictures or whatever work they need to have done without feeling stressed or distracted by the others. And then when I'm ready, I can pull out the others.

Since you think it will take a while to sell anyway it can't hurt to try something like this just to make sure it's really what you want.

Your collection should be whatever makes you happy.

Yeah, the putting dolls aside thing works for me too, short term anyway, but I already know what I want and that's just one girl :)

I'm actually feeling a bit sorry that I ordered two little friends for my Planetdoll Mini Kiki. But we'll see how that goes ^^

Nooooo! don't do it! Well, that's my initial reaction hehe.
I think you should just put the rest away for a while, pretend like they are on vacation and just concentrate on one doll at a time, even if it is going to be a long time before you interact with your other dolls again, or ever again.

It's better than a year down the line really wishing that you hadn't let go of a particular doll, or all the dolls. Plus I know it's silly, but I kind of feel like dolls like company. So even if you aren't working on the others, they could keep your chosen one company.

Just don't be too rash.

You know I went crazy and bought 4 dolls at once to start with and I've been working like crazy since the 3 arrived all at once, getting faceups and bodyblushing done. Clothes wise I've made a few things for Echo since she arrived much earlier, but the new ones I've only made some underwear for 2 of them.

It IS a bit overwhelming to have 3 new dolls at once to prepare, but once the base work is done, I'm going to concentrate on a full outfit for each, one by one, then concentrate on a wardrobe for each one by one.

I'm actually still looking at other dolls too... lol, but if I buy more I will keep them boxed till I'm further along in the development of the ones that I already have.

If you DO sell your dolls, would you mind posting them for sale here for a week before you go to DOA? I love some of yours and might like a crack at them :) it's so hard to find things in DOA's marketplace.... I kind of wish they would divide it up even further, like different sections for bodyparts and fantasy parts only. Yesterday was my first day with marketplace access and I was very unimpressed. Too many people asking for nearly full original price on their dolls and a lot of really jacked up prices on limited/currently unavailable dolls. Thought there would be more good deals, but barely saw any at all. It was disappointing.

My decision may seem rash but to me it feels SO right. Just deciding what I was gonna do gave me a feeling of relief. I prefer selling within Holland or Europe because of the high shipping, unless you don't mind... Right now I'm selling Anne (Asleep Eidolon Blueberry), Ellie (Souldoll Soulkid Asen) and Arianna/old Ellie (Angell-Studio Leira with optional Only-Doll XuanYan head).
