Magnet feet Obitsu--worth it?

Postby KingNorth » Tue Aug 07, 2012 10:20 pm

Do you think they're worth the extra 5 bucks? I've not had a 1/6 Bitsu and I was wondering if they work well or if I'd be better off just getting/making a stand?

The magnets are too weak to hold the doll to their stand if they have shoes on.

So, not worth it unless you plan to have them barefoot and stuck to metal surfaces most of the time.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

It is ten times better honestly. I regretted not getting my first Obitsu with magnets and had to buy her magnet feet separately. Before I couldn't even get mine to stand on her own....Still not too strong with shoes but it depends on the shoes too...My bitty bitsu can pose good without her stand but my bigger dolls pose a bit better when they got the stand under them to keep the weight off a bit. I'd say go with it just to be safe.

I'd get the magnets... yes if they have thick shoes then maybe they won't work through the soles, but sometimes they do. And having the magnets is a huge help with stability.

Started off with non magnet feet obitsu, ended up getting magnet feet for everybody even though some of them wear thick boots. I have not use magnet feet for stunts yet so its more of a personal preference.

Just be careful they don't pick up a pair of sicssors when you're sewing for them.

My entertainment center is all steel - so for me the magnet feet are a must! I don't use the stands, because I find the dolls are able to balance on their own most of the time. Or they sit. It's really up to you. I prefer the magnets, and the Obitsu Tabi and Zori have magnets in the shoes - double fun! I have also used magnets on feet to hold shoes on - you can add small magnets to shoes.
