It was back in my introduction thread when I was talking about how I was looking for a model for my paintings, but hadn't had any luck, because 1/6th dolls are too small for clothes to fall and fold realistically on, no existing mannequins are posable enough, and *ahem* more realistic human sized alternatives are too expensive and too heavy to work.
So some of you were telling me that Obitsu are the best for posing, but that the 50cm or smaller bodies pose better than the 60s.
I've been staring at Junkyspot for a few days thinking. See though, the 60cm has a 3 part torso which seems like that would be good for some more natural posing... I especially tend to like drawing poses where people hunch forward, or arch backwards and other torso dependent poses. I don't see 3 part torsos in the others. Also don't want to go too small either and run back into the clothing thickness issue again.
So basically I'm asking for those of you that know... is the posing on the 60cm weak enough that I really should go down to 48 or 50?
Keep in mind, the poses aren't for photography, they are for pose reference for my paintings, so I just take photos to draw from. Because of that, it doesn't really matter if I have the figure lean against things or use other posing aids, or if I have to let the figure lie down and photograph it from a different angle to fake a standing pose.
Here's 60cm that are available:

and 48+50 available:

Also, I know it's a long shot, but anybody know of anyone wanting to get rid of an old one somewhere? Only places I've seen people selling pre-owned dolls are here and the other doll forum I've been on for a while, but neither one seems to have dolls for sale very often, much less something that I'm actually looking for.
Thanks again for all the help so far, and for the help I'll be getting in the future ^_^
