Hmmmmmm....I can think of several unexpected reactions that can happen to someone who hasn't eaten watermelon before, particularly if they eat a lot... Given that Mittens appears to be a test-neko she's probably not used to unintentional side-effects.

Indeed! And given that they send her with kitty food, I bet her "owners" don't want her to eat anything else! Hence the scary stories!! Poor little Mittens!
