My first step with my clutter was to group like things together. Fabrics were grouped in to 'projects', prints and colors that could be used for the same project etc. All the cross stitch and embroidery are in one tub, they use the same kind of thread, all the plastic canvas and needle point in another. I made needle rolls, catch alls, and other needs myself so I could use and enjoy some of the fabric stash. The books are grouped by category as well so all the knitting books are together, all the doll making ones, and so on. General sewing needs, scissors, pins, needles, most commonly used notions etc are in a container that's easy to find and carry in a project bag.

I enjoyed reading Ring and Dark Water by Koji Suzuki last summer. I'm thinking froward to reading Spiral when I'm finished with my current books.

The Ring novel explains a lot more and is a fun read. There is a character named Ryūji that some might not be comfortable with though.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

Back to reading through everything on my bookshelves that I'm not sure about keeping...

Currently reading Sudden Prey by John Sandford. It's one of the best books in the series, and probably the only besides Eyes of Prey and Silent Prey that I will actually keep.

Back in the 60's my sister gave me a book that is about a doll.
The photographs of this doll in the woods are a delight!!

After reading it I always wanted to photo dolls in realistic situations.

The author writes many books with photos of dolls that I have yet to read.

I'm in the middle of reading The Seventh Scroll - the kind of book I normally wouldn't read. "A search for a 4000 year old tomb of an Egyptian pharaoh...an adventure of a lifetime...a desperate race for pharaoh Mamose's treasures".

My mom occasionally comes home with a box of paperbacks she finds out on the curb, set out for recycling. Sometimes there are interesting finds in there. I've been reading books at random. My mom likes action/adventure and crime/thriller books. Myself - I normally like the fantasy stuff.

After this I want to try reading The Golden Compass.
I liked the movie although WTF was up with the ending? So I am going to read the books to see what all the bad reviews of the movie are about.

Reading Firebird by Mercedes Lackey. I like the medival/ballet series so far. It makes my train ride to work feel kinda short and insufficient for further reading.
Hunting dzown the 500 Kingdom series in hope that I would not be struck down by Reader's Block

I'm prone to reader's block, for some reason I can't read a different series even though i enjoyed one. Took me 10 years to settle the one I had with David Eddings' The Elenium. Like Terry Prachett's witches but had trouble reading the Wizards and anything to with Sam Vines when it comes to The Watch

On a totally unreleated note. This male firebird made me lol at the timing of release coinciding with reading of said book.

Currently reading Voyage of Slaves by Brian Jacques. (3rd in the Castaways of the Flying Dutchman series) I found a hardcover copy on clearance for $3 :D It was the only one I was missing from the series. [Unless he's written a 4th one that I don't know about...]
