My Operetta is verifiably lilac, for what it's worth. :p

And Toralei has cat ears. Honestly with this kind of project it is going to end up being more "Monster High characters crossed with ponies" than the ponies themselves.

Looks like this'll be fun, but are you not gonna wipe the faces? Just basing what what some others have said.

Yes I was planning on wiping the faces modding ears maybe even adding horns and even wings. But I also had some original ideas about incorporating them onto more of "magical girls" with magic tattoos and winged/horned transformation outfits. Definitely getting cutie marks on them somewhere maybe not on the flank tho. :D
my biggest problem is I like all the mh girls I have singulars of at the moment. Torelai is just so cute and her face is diffrent colors which dosn't really work for AJ, so I think Ill wait and see if they release another orange girl maybe a grown up Howleen?
Twilight is an elusive base indeed. :( I could never sand a mh face it would never work so operetta is a pass. (except for super future twilight!?) hopefully they make some of the make your own monster kits in lilac!

Ive made some progress! Starting with rainbow dash/ lagoona. I got a Mad science set with derpy paint so I don't feel to bad about wiping it .I've removed the paint from the lips so far the eyes Im doing very soon.(I do have pictures upon request) my local dollar store sells some great hair extensions for kids in a rainbow of colors, but I think Ill try dying Lagoona's hair before making a wig for her.

I was wondering tho where the ooak community stands on the limited black and white dolls, I ended up nabbing 3 of The Frankie at skull shore, on clearance for 3$ a peace! (not all for me some for easter presants.) The doll I kept for myself was labelled 496 and my sisters 491. She didn't like the stitches and bolts so I removed them for her from her doll.(shes two so she thought her doll had boo boos. pictures upon request!) Comparing her to my Ghoulia's grey their almost identical but I'm thinking about using her as my rarity base. :)

Thats a great idea! :D another skill I can learn, maybe I'll dye one of the lighter skinned make your monster kits for practice. I wonder how well the plastic will take the color. Has any one else ever dyed a monster high doll?

I got my first monster high girl planning to do the same thing. It didn't work out as I gave up trying to find an applejack without cat ears. There are a few out there there's a monster high fluttershy and a rainbow dash as well as two pinkies a regular and a cupcakes. A cute idea would be to get the little blind bag figure of each pony as an accessory for the doll. Are you doing the cutie marks, I've seen them done as face paint on the cheek and not done at all and both look good you could also put it on the dolls outfit.
