Hekate's New Dress (Brides of Dracula Mina ver. 2)

Postby lovelovekitty » Tue Mar 20, 2012 10:22 pm

In the worlds surrounding the Manor, Hekate is the only other Lich in existence besides Osirus - and needless to say, she is a royal (she is an undead queen after all) pain in his ass. And in mine - she's been begging for a "real dress" since she got here. I was really inspired by JanetT's dresses she posted at JS for her new renaissance vampire story. So I decided to make her an Italian renaissance style dress.

I am just now venturing into the world of sewing, so I'll get better over time, but i'm pretty pleased with this!

Very pretty! I especially like the lace and trim edging details. If I didn't know that this girl came in a default outfit, I totally would think that this was the one that came with her! :)

I wanted a renaissance dress for my dolls too but I'm too busy to sew.. :(
The doll is really sophisticated and with that colors hairstyle the dress suits her very well!
..maybe the kitchen is a bit too modern background but I probably shouldn't tell this as I have a lolita doll in my sci-fi diorama, so.. ^_^'' ) XD
Actually I think I like your hairstyle more then the factory one...(I didn't know those dolls so I searched images of them) I totally fail at combing hair T-T

Thanks everybody.

The background is too modern but it's the only diorama I have set up right now... and Hekate is too old to care what anyone thinks.. she's going to wear what she wears back at her home. So it's probably a good thing she doesn't go to the grocery or anything ;) Osirus is the same way - I think it's a "being a stubborn dead person" thing!

I'm glad you guys like it and hope to work on some more sewing this weekend (baby willing)!

Hekate is lovely (I like her Goddess name too!), as is her costuming, and the way her hair has been styled ~ very striking!
I've a fondness for vampires.
