I just got them in today!! WHEE!!!!!!
I'm very pleased with them but also a TEENY bit disappointed in the Ieseul head----it's SO tiny! It's almost MSD sized! :cries: It's so perfect but.....so small!!! Almost too smal......

Luckily, Yuuya-san DOES have a smallish head, but my gracious! It's got such tiny features....I hope he'll look 'in scale' with the other guys!!!!!!

I took a few comparison shots for you of the 2 versions of their slim male bodies:





My other SLIGHT 'argh' is that the Vers 1 body is about 1" taller than the Vers 2 body!!!!! Ack! And I wanted the Vers 2 to be the taller guy! Mamo-chan is taller than Hideo-san.... ^^;;

So, my sister suggested that we shorten the Vers 1 (the body on the right in the pictures) by cutting off about 1 1/2" from his thigh joint. It looks feasible, so that's what we'll probably end up doing. ^^

Man, I'm disappointed to hear the Ieseul head is small. It's a long way off, but I'm hoping to get an Ieseul eventually and I wanted her to be on the massive body because I like it better, but everything I'm reading suggests that she would look stupid on a massive body. Oh well, I'll just have to get over it, I guess.

I know!!!!! She's SOOOO tiny!!! At first, I was like 'Is this really Ieseul?!?' But it's her features, just so......little. ^^;;

She'd definitely look goofy on the massive body. In fact, I'll bet she doesn't even look good on the slim/regular body. She'd need to be on as small an SD body as possible. Like the ResinSoul 58cm ones or something like those. Fantasy Doll maybe.


:sigh: I'll be putting it on a 63cm male body, so I HOPE it'll look decent once he's all dolled up and done. I'm kind of in two minds.....should I look for a different head for Yuuya or go with Ieseul? But Ieseul is SO perfect! I mean, just LOOK at the match to Yuuya!!! It IS Yuuya....but it's soooooooo little.......

Anyway, I'll take some photos of the heads asap to show the size differences. Shakan is huge, Ieseul is tiny. I'll take them alongside a normal SD sized head, so you can see the size comparisons.

It's really a shame! I LOVE the sculpt---why is she so tiny?!?!? Honestly, I think she'll take size 7-8 wigs instead of 8-9 sized ones. Now that's not too strange---Satoshi (AoD Yuki) also takes 7-8 though he's an SD, but he can also take the 8-9 decently. (Just a tad loose.)
For Ieseul, the 8-9 slides right off, way too big. I think even the 7-8 would be a little roomy on it!


I wonder if Angelsdoll will ever release her in a larger sized head?

What do you think? Does Ieseul look too much of a different scale than the other 2? ^^;; ARGH!! Why do all the perfect sculpts have to be too small?!?!? ^^;;

It does in the DoA universe - which hardly surprises me. As soon as I saw it was locked for decision making I knew it was destined for OTing....unless enough people complain like they did with the Lusion.

The small proportions on Ieseul actually please me, selfishly. Jin is the same, she fits MSD wigs, but she looks proportioned like a real human - beautiful. I seriously have to get Ieseul one day. I wouldn't put her on the massive body, though - the pictures of her on the V1 massive body look a wee bit pinheaded.

But as a boy - it is a lot smaller than the others. On the other hand, real human heads are all kinds of different sizes. And it is a really stunning sculpt - that smile!

But what can we actually say or do to help? It's not like the decision makes any sense. There's nothing particularly Western or fashion dollish about her - like Ieseul or Hyang, she could have stepped straight out of a Kpop group, especially with that long face and lack of double eyelids. She reminded me of G.NA, only with a stronger jaw and more personality. If she'd been made by Iplehouse, she would have been on-topic, I'll bet. Jessica, sized down, is awfully reminiscent of 1/4 fashion dolls.

I know they have the right to make any decision they like on their forum. It makes me sad, though, because for a lot of people, DoA IS the hobby - it's immense enough to be a massive resource, and the company/sculpt databases are awesome - I love the wiki, too, I spend way too much time editing it. For a small company, being declared off-topic can hit them hard. And the particular reason for being declared off-topic is, as I've ranted elsewhere, something that really bugs me - I don't think Westerners should be able to tell Asians that their artworks are "too Western" and not be called on their racial privilege.

On the other hand a wig might make the difference? I think perhaps a faceup and wig is in order before the final conclusion can be made.

I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the posing capabilities of the two bodies? Sculpt wise i like the definition on V.2.'s legs but the torso of V.1. looks better. I only have the V1 body and I quite like it.

I'm definitely thinking an Ieseul head on a ResinSoul 60cm body. They're so slender I think it'll make a lovely hybrid.

I was thinking the same thing about Gia though, with her looking an awful lot like some Iple sculpts. But I thought the same thing about Kruz; he looks as though he could be brothers with Iple's Akando and Evan.
