In Heaven there be Dragons

I read some of her books casually found around and I loved her capacity to imagine the quotidian in worlds that have nothing of ordinary and write about it. Even if I didn't follow her much in this years, (I don't even know how much of her books are translated in Italian...) this make me really sad.

She was one of those people you just expected to be around forever, ya know? Kinda like my great grandmother...

When I was in middle school I discovered an omnibus of the Dragonrider books that my dad had picked up and never read. By the end of that year I'd read all her Pern books I could get my hands on and wanted a fire lizard so bad it hurt. XD I've got her books tucked away all over my shelves, Pern, and Tower and the Hive, and the Ships and basically everything I could pick up. She's probably the reason why to this day, I still believe in dragons.

After the holidays I'm going to get one of those new little Resinsoul dragon boys in green or sky blue and name him Pern.
