Linteia was my Elvish name some many years ago, being a derivative of a translation for a derivative of my real name. It just sounded so pretty that I decided to keep using it even after I stopped admitting to that particular nerdity.

Mine name comes from a list of Japanese names that I read through and picked out the two I liked which were Takahiro and Kumiko. Then, I smushed them together to create my name.

Mine's my International Wench's Guild handle, Mirrin. I found it when I was looking through SCA documents for names in the 1500s. I picked it because it's close to my actual name, at least in the sense that 'rin' is a clear part of my name pronounced the same as in Mirrin, Corinne.

claywimmin is a name I created based on my love for fooling around with clay (I say 'fooling around' because 'sculpting' here is overkill...) and the one thing I can do well is women's torsos. No arms, legs or head mind you, just torsos. Wimmin instead of women - well, just because... don't get me started.

Evelien is my real first name, derived from Eve who according to a book I don't believe in was the mother of the living. I like the meaning though.

Sosha, the name I gave to my first big Obitsu, also was a blood elf mage back when I played WOW -_-
Sasha was taken so I tried it with an o and I actually started liking that name better anyway

i don't think i ever told you but i love your name. which is kinda funny considering i absolutely HATE the name Eve, Evelyn, Eva, etc. but saying your name makes me... just happy. is that a weird thing to say to someone? and i thought Sosha is a refreshingly creative name for your Gretel girl... <3

mygreenpajamas was my lj username. one of my friends was introducing me to the internets and social sites and whatnot and convinced me to create an lj account so i could keep everyone updated on stuff that happens to me? i guess. anyhoo, i was trying to think of something because she scolded me for wanting to use just my name. she said, "it could be anything you can think of! BE CREATIVE!" i was having trouble so she asked, "what do you like?" i was wearing my pink nightdress because my green onesie was in the wash when i said, "i like my green pajamas." it just sounded cool to me while my friend thought it was silly.

my real name is loriam. it's a combination of my mom's name (lorgin) and my dad's name (william) and i always hated it because i always wanted a real name. i used to go by lori. but i kinda like my name now. it's grown on me i guess...

I'm always amazed at the cool names I see here. Some have been explained, some not. Some are more well known, some not. If I remember, here are the ones I know:
CirqueMom - So named because her daughter took contortionist lessions with an eye to joining the circus. K2 is his initials. And so on... but what about some of the others?

Swan - Taken from the Paul Williams character in the film Phantom of the Paradise. Hence the little avi of him with vampire fangs and maniacal laughter. People called me that because IRL I somewhat resemble Paul Williams and used to dress like him! I am actually SHORTER than he is by an inch! Paul and I stood back to back and measured once!

My other online nicknames include Labrat which is a pun... My beloved is into animal rights and such, so the name is Lab Rat. I'm originally from Southern California so it's LA Brat!

Other identities I've been known as "Rat & Swan" "Lady Penny" "Vixyn" "MomCat" "Contessa" "Madame Olga Ivanofelitch" (say the last name aloud! - "I've an AWFUL itch" LOL) QuarterKitty and Dorian.
On the old Doll13 and JunkySpot I was Swanage because Swan was already taken.
