Damn it, I wish I had a source for cheap SA GI Joe bodies!

I've bought a couple lots on eBay over the years that would come out to less than $5 a doll but then you had to separate a lot of chaff from the wheat. My best purchase (which was a bit stupid) was a large lot of 1/6 scale AK 47 chest rigs which came out to about $1.20 a piece. And now I have LOTS of them... and the magazine pouches are actually a bit short for the 30 round mags of an AK47 or 74.

Oh well!

Free! Peapod, (as well as Floating Head who I haven't taken a photo of because he's bodiless and sad lol), were gifts :D

As far as ones I've purchased...Kim, my 27" Obitsu is my least expensive

Not including hand-me-downs and freebies, Kailey - my Moxie Teenz Tristen custom - was probably the cheapest. Either her or Aria, my Hujoo Suve.

Kyohei, my only boy Bitty Bitsu is my cheapest. JS magnet body, and head, but his first wig was perfect, only $4 and his eyes came free with a doll who i already had chosen eyes for.

Why don't I ever find things like silkstones at Goodwill? *cries*

Bjd-wise, the dodgy companies with desperate supersales win. A Customhouse SD kit for $89 plus shipping (and extra elastic and s-hooks to replace the crap she came with, but still, super-bargain for a doll I'd wanted for years); two Brownies for, I think, $88-ish plus more reasonable shipping probably bringing the price to slightly under the Customhouse - and fullsets to boot. Sia's clothes and wig cost more than she did, all told - my cheapest doll got the most expensive clothes!

Other doll wise... my Kellies. I had a Kelly addiction for a while, just a few dollars (although they are more expensive here than in the US, about $10-$15?) would lift a really bad day for the price of coffee and cake.

Oh, and Mei Mei, my mini Ddung knockoff. A few Hong Kong dollars, can't remember how much. They were being sold all over in Hong Kong, you couldn't move for them, and I thought they were the cutest things ever - I had no idea they were a knockoff of anything, just that they were supercute and I wanted one as a souvenir. I assumed they were a Chinese thing. Came home, and found both knockoffs and the real deal for sale here. But Mei Mei doesn't care that she's a knockoff, she's the cutest thing, and she stands on my desk at work and reminds me of the last overseas trip I will have for many a year.

Not counting all the holiday Polly Pockets and Mini B's I have gotten at Target for 60 cents once they were down to 90% off, my cheapest doll would be a Matchmaker Magic Mulan I had found at a yard sale for 2 bucks. She had her complete outfit except her shoes but I put her in something more modern. I just love how the old Mulan dolls are so poseable.

My cheapest Monster was a Jackson I got for 7 bucks because it was a "display" doll.

I have tons of dolls that I got for free in swaps with my BFF or at thrifts, mostly Barbies. But also some bigger 18" girls and Liv dolls. A buck a pop I like, grin.
