Hello from Australia

Postby Lily » Sat Oct 01, 2011 5:21 am

Just saying hello!

I'm Lily, I'm from Australia. I have a growing brood of resin bjds, which is how I found this place, but I am trying to put a cap on them. ;) I also collect fashion dolls and baby dolls (reborn or otherwise), I have a lot of Pokemon, and I have an intimidating herd of my little ponies, mostly G3s but everything but G3.5s, that will one day take over the world. I spend way too much of my life in toy departments, dragging my patient partner around - she's learned an awful lot about dolls, whether she's liked it or not!

I'm increasingly interested in obitsu and similar dolls, as I'm a very tactile person and find good vinyl so much more appealing and sensual to the touch than cold resin, but I don't know much about them. I've seen them once in a shop in Hong Kong, and that's it for offline. I'm a bit scared about customising the little ones, as I've never faceupped anything that tiny, but I have plans, and I just have to be brave and bite the bullet.

I've ended up here looking for somewhere to discuss dolls freely and ask for information without worrying too much about whether they hit arbitrary on-topic criteria or where they come from. :) The inclusiveness of the threads here really appeal to me. I lurked for ages before joining, and it seems like a lovely friendly board, so - here I am!

Hiya and welcome! :D
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.
