Obitsu Legs: 60cm vs 47cm

Postby BlackDragoon » Mon Aug 29, 2011 4:43 pm

Sooo, I have a 47cm Obitsu girl and I've already given her a bust mod because the flat chest didn't fit the mature character she's supposed to be but now I feel like she should be taller. I really like the thicker thighs of the 47cm because they really even out her um, huge tracts of land... but I figure some calf pieces from a 60cm would make her legs longer.
Now the question is, does anyone know how this would look? Would internal pieces have to be swapped because maybe they're shorter than the ones on the 60cm? I figure the ball joint is at least the same size so it would look alright at the knee but I want to know for sure before I go placing an order for more parts.

Any input is appreciated!

I don't know your answers - but you might contemplate the lower legs from a 55cm. They are similar in length to the 60, but more...shapely :)

The 55cm is a newer sculpt than the 60cm and has a more natural, shapely appearance. The 60cm ball joint style legs are very long and anime-like, while the 60cm sliding joint legs are rather generic. Going to the 55cm legs would give your doll more height without the proportionally over long anime legs. You can see the relative height differences of the three sizes in this picture, unfortunately their legs are partly masked by the dolls in front of them.

If you were to go with the 55cm legs, you would need to get three new leg parts. All three are sold in pairs: the thigh vinyl (55RP-M01WS-24), the knee joints (55RP-M01WP-30) which include the "bone" parts for the thigh and calves, and the shin vinyl (55RP-M01WS-25). You would retain the hip ball and ankle joints and the feet. The three new part sets would set you back a little over $70 plus shipping, etc.
