Doll travel case discovery!

Postby Jobee » Tue Aug 23, 2011 12:40 pm

I was shopping for luggage the other day and I found these really great cases that are perfect for 1/6th scale. They were at my local Sam Moon store, but they sell them online too. http://www.sammoon.com/product.asp?cat= ... 1&sub=sub3

They're super cute, not too heavy but sturdy enough to take to a doll meet no problem. They come in a ton of styles and with a smaller one inside it. They also have optional shoulder straps included. I picked mine up for 16$. They're really cute and my girls love it. :)

This particular product is only good for 1/6 scale and under, but I recommend looking around the luggage section of the online store because they have tons of options. http://www.sammoon.com/product.asp?cat=luggage

I hear rolling scrapbooking totes work great as doll carriers too.

Embly just bought one from Hobby Lobby that was supposed to be for a Cricut machine but, it's just long enough for 70cm dolls, and it's wide enough to carry at least 2 or 3 of them.

I found one just like hers on Ebay:

I wouldn't really recommend a rolling bag for a con if you expect it to be tightly packed.. it's a big tripping hazard. It does help with the weight, but after seeing a friend of mine lug one around, I've reconsidered it. The ebay auction price does make it more tempting, but....yea, idk.

Those bags look kind of like the cheap make up bags at Walmart. Idk if they're long enough or not though.

The ones I linked? They're not like Walmart ones! They were very nice, so I got them for my girls. I looked very hard for them, and they're not too heavy, but sturdy. I really like mine. They are very reasonably priced, but not cheap!

The one my friend got looked like it was made out of leather, or at least fake leather? And I want wheels for doll meets, I guess I just don't Con enough? Plus I usually bring my belongs in a backpack and feel like a pack mule by the time I add the doll bag. >.>

I know what you mean! I am defintiely not a girl who carries purses so I tend to lug a messenger bag and my boys. These bags look pretty perfect I have to say. <3 I would use it just for doll meets too. And also when I get on the plane. xD I had the two boys I had at the time just folded up in a duffel bag
