Orcara Miniatures-good, meh, bad?

Postby KatyaR » Sun Aug 14, 2011 8:02 pm

Doing a little Re-Ment browsing on eBay and ran across several offerings from this company. Has anyone else tried them?
If so, what was your opinion: On par with Re-Ment and Megahouse; OK, nothing special;Or really not worth the time and shipping costs?

Any opinions are appreciated, of course! :)

How do the prices compare to this store? http://www.etradersplace.com/osc/orcara ... 1a8dd8bec1 And there's the Yahoo group with knowledgable people http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Rementminis/

I don't have any Orcara brand yet. As for prices it's all about what you feel like paying, I've gone in the $40-$50 a carton range and paid some silly prices for an individual set jut to get my dolls a pack of spaghetti noodles. The only warning I have is it's like plastic crack and not for the faint of wallet.

I have bought some Orcara. They seem to be on par with the Re-ment. I have been told some of their stuff might be a tad smaller in scale on something compared to Re-ment stuff.

The per item prices on eBay are higher than those at eTradersplace- more in line with the average Re-Ment or Megahouse piece.

I went ahead and ordered one of the Red Wine individual sets, so we'll see what comes of it.

Thanks for the responses!

Re-ment does that too, I have sushi in varying scales, the very first is more 1/4 scale and some of the later almost microscopic. Most of Re-ment isn't a specific scale any way, it's just what they can fit in their boxes. Later on it seems they got the idea of making things more compatible.

Re-ment is like crack  It's very nice crack, though. I like mine a lot. Never seen any Orcara so I don't have a basis of comparison.
