Griffith: The White Hawk (Iplehouse Theo)

Postby arrowchild » Thu Aug 18, 2011 2:01 pm

So...I've been planning/working on this guy for AGES! Griffith is one of my all time favorite characters from Berserk, one of my all time favorite manga, (if you're not too squeamish and over 18, I HIGHLY recommend it...it's glorious). Now I just have to get a Guts to go with him...*plotplotgiantbeefymandollAkandoplot*

I still have to finish his body blush, give him the scars from the infamous 'Am I Dirty?' scene and make his to-scale Behelit and his clothes, (little intimidated by that one lol) but I had to take a few shots...I'm so ridiculously excited to finally be putting him together!!!!!

And...because I'm such a geek...he's borrowing the Behelit that I sculpted for my Griffith cosplay until I make one of his own, (so he isn't too lonely ;) )

I loved Berserk!!! I only have the first season of DVD's, don't think they made any more. I'm too cheap to buy the manga so I haven't finished the series. One of my favorite action figures is my 1/6 scale Guts. He's so epic in every way. *cry* He's boxed right now, along with the rest of my action figures. So sad.

I can't wait to see more photos!

Yay Berserk love!! I came thiiiiiiiiiis close to geting a Guts figure not long ago myself-he's epic in every size!

The manga really is massive. I've been getting new volumes for my birthday and christmas for a while now...I'm dreading the day I finally catch up completely lol.

The original anime is just one season, (worst cliff hanger ever!!!), but they're in the process of remaking it in anime movie form right now...it's supposed to come out next year I think:

famedglory-thanks :) and...yay for manga enabling lol!

greyhaunt-thank you so much! Theo is such a gorgeous sculpt to start with- when Iplehouse released him, I knew that was going to be 'the Griffith sculpt' lol

maywong-thanks lol *hands a napkin* I'm really smitten with him too lol

*oh and, by the by, as I was typing my replies, my husband, after taking a good hard look at him, said..."I think he might be my favorite one of all your dolls..." before nodding his head sagely and walking into the other room, (I'm not sure if it's because he liked the anime or because my boy has a bit more beef to him than my other resins lol)

lol....maywong, you're leaving a trail behind you.

I agree though. Iple boys are so beautiful. I have seen the manga illustratoins of Berserk and have always been interested but never gotten off my butt to look it up.

landwhale-they really are, especially in person, (although...holy cow is he big! lol). The art in the manga is pretty darn beautiful in a bloody, gory, give you medieval-esque nightmares kind of way :D
