DDII Body

Postby AlmySidaKay » Thu Jul 21, 2011 5:28 pm

Someone near me is possibly selling a Dollfie Dream II body, had "place offer" on it at the meet I went to and it didn't sell, I then PM'd her to ask if it was still avail since she was gone by the time I was going to offer to her. It's still available but, I don't know if I should bother, the body is not in the best shape, it's got some scratches and a decent amount of staining, plus a lot of tattoos. I'd also only be interested in an Obitsu Gretel head on it. So here are my 2 questions:

Will she laugh at me if I offer $100 (or less)? (it's just the body no head)

And do Obitsu heads work on DDII bodies?

I sadly can tell you anything you want to know about BBB, but I feel kinda clueless about this one. But darn Eveline keep showing off her girls and I wanna try it! (I'm also kinda hoping our resident Vinyl folk will swoop in on this one. :P)

From your description, I'd only offer about $100. The staining can come out with a liberal dose of Remove-zit and Formula 911. It'll take time to get her back into nice shape, but it's doable. Downside is, the stuff needed to fix her back up isn't free and isn't the cheapest out there... photos of the 'damage' would be nice. ^__^

It's really easy to attach an obitsu head to a DD2. Get a neck connector from obistu (about $5). Remove the connector that the DD2 has, and put the obitsu one into the neck of the doll. That simple.

Actually, if you get her before the doll meet in MN, I can go ahead and fix the neck-connector for you AT the meet. Just remind me to bring the stuff for her. ^.~

$100 is about right. I paid $125 for Fate's body only had stained legs and it was in otherwise perfect condition (body only, no head).

Chizuru would love to point out that Obitsu heads look awesome on DD bodies, though she claims she is still waiting on her new boobs.

She ended up taking someone else's offer, sadly almost twice what I could give her.

*pats on the back* Don't worry Almy, others will show up! There was an Obi on eBay that began at $50....it didn't end at that price but anyway.
The ever growing wishlist: Hujoo Dana, Obitsu 40, and an army of other Obitsus with anime style heads.
The more expensive end of my wishtlist: Limhwa Half Elf and Elfdoll Soah, my dream dolls.

I got to see a whole Obitsu yesterday because Tira-chan brought her Gretel who was on a 50cm body to our meet up. I realized I love their faces yesterday, but I'd really need to do some sort of hybrid. I'm too used to Evie and they are just too light for my liking. The resin feel makes them just feel more.. alive to me.

Wow! IIRC, you can buy a brand new DDII body for not much more than about $200, why would someone pay so much for a 2nd owner, stained body?
