Unfortunately, I got rid of a lot of my old Barbies before I got into the doll hobby. I've since kicked myself for it as too many of them ended up in the trash due to too damaged of a body. Had I simply known I could've popped off their head and put them on new bodies... Oh man, I'd have more dolls today. >_<

Wow, that's a lot of dolls!

It does not help that I work near a fleamarket or that my school is near a Savers.

I get to go rob all the Barbie stuff at my parents house in a few weeks, I'm kinda stoked. Glad I never decided to take them with me, they surely would have been sold that way.

I started out collecting 6" vintage Pamela Love dolls from my childhood, and I could never give up on those because I will always love them to bits, but other than that I have given up on dolls with painted on eyes..! I only like dolls with inset eyes now... Plus, yeah, joints are important! I got spoiled and won't settle for anything less than Obitsu posing quality lol!

I'm totally an eye snob more then a joint snob. I couldn't do MH dolls because I couldn't stand the painted on eye thing.

Yeah, that too...it's only been since I got Cherry that I started really caring about the eyes, but now I can't look at painted eyes the same way. Poor Megumi, Ashe and Belle! As soon as I can afford it they're all getting upgraded to heads with inset eyes.

Most of my crew have painted eyes and I don't care either way. The only time I went a bit overboard for something very specific, instead of just getting the right color, was Xavier's Soom Luciferin pair because the color was right and the name has to do with his story.

Of the Littles only Dolly and Brenna have non painted eyes. With my history in art and painting people, always with great comments for my eyes, it was natural for me to paint my dolls. If they're low enough to ride the ride Littles are Littles to me, even if some of them have freakishly big heads.

Perhaps I'm saying when it comes to dolls I never want them to be exclusionary, had enough of that when I didn't have a Cabbage Patch Kid and couldn't join the "club".

I love hearing everyone's preferences in dolls! I know I prefer inserting eyes over painting them, but I hate fumbling with the eye putty. I need to find more heads with eye pockets. I'm not a huge fan of the eye decals, but I've used them... if only to later take them off >_> I'm learning to paint eyes as best as i can.

Half round eyes=pain. Trying to shove my finger inside my doll messing with half rounds and putty is annoying, but imagine trying to get them positioned just right in eye pocket......(shudder)
The ever growing wishlist: Hujoo Dana, Obitsu 40, and an army of other Obitsus with anime style heads.
The more expensive end of my wishtlist: Limhwa Half Elf and Elfdoll Soah, my dream dolls.
