My girls draw the line at cats, foxes, and perhaps wolves and I think that's about it....except for the bunny girls of course.

 ... noooooooooooo .... some of them would not work well at all :?

hmmmmm .... so your girls like cats .... ;) .... I imagine a few in here might like seeing this guy as a 70cm resin ;)

DS was also the first place I had heard the term. And that pic of the panda girl makes me want to make her. I have a list of small dolls I'm working through and she would be so adorable in a 1" scale! But first I must fix the jointing on the current projects.

wow ... I started hearing about catgirls and such starting back in the mid 1960's ... (yes I am a certified fossil  ) ... they were starting to show up in science-fiction stories

I think I started hearing "neko" and related terms starting back in the 1980's ... when anime and manga started getting really popular in America

The tiger playing volleyball reminds me of Tama from Hayate: Combat Butler for some reason.

Catgirls in the 60s? Josie & the Pussycats and Pussycats in Outer Space (or was that the early 70s). Sure they only wore the ears and costumes, but neko cosplay!

the original Josie & The Pussycats was 1970-71 ... "In Outer Space" was 1972-73

and there is absolutely nothing wrong with neko cosplay  ... I went to NekoCon 10 when I was living out in Virginia at the time ... I thought I still had my official "Furvert" badge but it seems to be hiding from me :x
... NekoCon 14 is this November

yeah ... I wish I could remember the name of the first book I read that had a catgirl in ... all I can remember was her name was C'mel .. I think she worked in a spaceport bar ... and the bartender or bouncer was a bearguy named B'mer
... LOL yeah I had weird tastes in readng material for a 14 yr old :o ..... and I still do

Everything I know about Nekomimi is K2!'s fault!

My 14 yr old son is obsessed with nekomimis...lol. Nothing wrong with that!

I would love to attend a NekoCon! I played a nekomimi recently when my son performed Mr. Mistoffelees at his recital.

Nya!

I agree completely ... nothing wrong with it at all

Nya!

the one I went to was great fun

one of my gaming friends was on the Con staff that year ... he and I used to love digging through each others pic collections to find stuff we didnt already have

when it first started on fri afternoon ... friday afternoon and night was mostly the hard core anime and manga types ... there were almost no nekos on fri

saturday morning was a very different story ... the line outside the Coliseum to get in looked like neko city :D

I didnt go on sunday, but from others I heard it was pretty much like saturday ... nekos everywhere

found my Furvert badge :D .. it was hiding as a bookmark in a history text I had been reading

hmmmm ... now that is an interesting variant spelling "Mr. Mistoffelees" of Mephistopheles .... by your use of the term recital ... I'm guessing it was either at a school or a church ... that didnt dare use the actual real name in anything involving non-adults ... and I can understand that

Furries and fursuits are outside of the scope of both this forum and the thread, therefore a post has been removed.
