Sosha and Eva - new pictures on page 4

Postby Evelien » Sun Jun 19, 2011 4:36 am

My Sosha has already proven herself to be a lady with a strong will. Before she arrived I bought her all kinds of fabric with lots of pink, babyblue, flowers and little hearts. She hates all of it. I'm gonna have to go shopping again... In the meantime I dug into my collection of fabrics and found this green-yellow stripey thingy that I think is perfect for dollie jumpers, and since I'm not used to working with patterns I just drape the fabric around my dolls and fit and try as I go. Sometimes it works out perfectly, sometimes I fail. In this case I partially failed. I like the neck, but the sweater is too short, not snug enough and I don't like the short sleeves. I'm gonna fiddle with it some more. I'm not even sure Sosha likes it, by the way. As you can see I've also removed her old faceup and tried applying some basic stuff of my own so far. I don't hate it but I'm not sure it suits her personality. Tomorrow I'll be trying something darker, I think :)

Note: the hair clips don't suit her personality AT ALL but I needed something to keep the bangs out of her eyes until I trim them.

I found that out too when I brought Amelia home! She literally snapped on me when I was dressing her up in a dress she doesn't like for the meet I went to yesterday. (She normally won't snap at all). I got her all pinks and baby blues, and what does she like? ....yellow. >.>

Personally if that one had longer sleeves it would be a great top, the turtleneck idea is super cute on her!
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

The neck is really cute ^^ maybe it could work as a sleeveless tank top? Or even a crop top if all else goes flying out the window...

...Elodie was as girly as I expected, but now she refuses to even look at anything other than this one wig which is out of stock >>

She looks really pouty and gorgeous, like a vixen. Or like Angelina Jolie, or some French actress.
I like the way her hair looks clipped back in sections, and I really like her in that top.

Thanks guys! I'll probably turn it into a slightly tighter crop top and remove the short sleeves that she has right now. I'm thinking of putting a tight yellow dress under it. Not sure yet how that'll turn out.

I SO hope I'll finally be done with all my schoolwork tonight, so that I can "play" with her all day tomorrow. I've noticed that doing faceups in the evening is generally NOT a good idea. I need daylight to see what I'm doing.

It's gonna be a long night ;)

*giggle* I remember this picture from DoA. She looks so Feisty! I can't wait to see the top finished. I always love to see home/hand made stuff for the dolls since it conveys both the personality of the dolls and the owners.

Congrats!

I like the soft lips on her. I have yet to try that on Cerise. What are your plans for her look? Apparently she didn't like your original idea lol. Funny how that happens.

I love her look. I really like that top, definitely something over it (open, though, to show it off, since I really adore the fabric and the turtleneck idea) or under it. The dress idea would be really adorable and funky :D
