Did you know there is actually a city in India called USA so that they slap the sticker on there that still says USA.

I couldn't find that town on Google maps. Maybe someone else can point it out to me?

I will say this though. I spent a lot of years in the import/retail home furnishings business (including a lot of importing from India) and a FACTUAL declaration of country of origin has to be on every label. Even if you had a factory in USA, India, the products you made and exported to the US would HAVE TO be labeled "Made In India" and you'd have to pay import taxes on them. That's federal law and I personally would not want to risk my business by knowingly violating it.

Again, for a product to be labeled "Made In USA", it must actually be made in the US. An importer who knowingly brings such items into the country is in for some SERIOUS legal trouble when, not if, Customs catches them.

Also, the story of the town named Usa where things can be imported from and labeled "Made in Usa" is old tale dating back to the post- WW2 era. Originally, it was based on the real town of Usa, Japan but the story that products were being exported through there to avoid using "Made In Japan" labels is false.
