I did ... and I'm in trouble
the doll I found that was closest to my Mio in height ... was a Domuya "Fin" @ 25.5" ... Mio is 25.6"
but Mio is not a skinny waif ..... all the dolls I have been able to find measurements for are like Kate Moss compared to my Mio
most have a bust size in the 24cm-25cm range ...... my Mio is a 32cm
converted to human sizes ... I would describe my Mio as being deliciously curvy
... she is a 38DD-25-38 (96cm-63cm-96cm)
WOMAN when I started looking at human woman dress sizes ... she is an American size 12 based on bust size

as I had said above
theodoric wrote:I've already tried that, with a sweater that IpleHouse listed as being useable for both the SID and EID dolls ... Mio wasnt real happy with me
... trying to fit a 38"DD girl into a sweater designed for a maximum of a 35.5"D ... doesnt work real good ... and the sweater really DOESNT like it at all ........ (the red sweater in the pics I posted of her, will probably not be useable by Mio any more)
if I had picked the "medium" bust option for Mio I would have been ok ... and would probably have a LOT easier time finding clothes for her ... even from IpleHouse (they seem to run out of clothes for large busted EID's almost as soon as they post that they have them back in stock)
I am not discouraged ... and there is no way I am going to get rid of Mio

I've been looking at that
... especially for some "comfortable/very casual" clothing ... I have had ex's that claimed some of my clothing because it was warmer or more comfortable than women's clothing
... my first wife told me straight up that women's clothing is designed to look good ... not to be warm or comfortable ... she preferred using one of MY leather jackets when we were riding my Harley to the girl's leather jacket I had bought just for her .... that wasnt the only clothing of mine she preferred

That's what I've been using as I've just started to resize some human patterns. I'm cheating and starting with things that don't need to be uber precise (nothing that is "fitted") and then working my way up in difficulty.
that is what I will be doing ... since I dont have a scanner or any special software
I remember learning how to use a proportion wheel when I worked at a Kinko's back in the mid 90's ... I also remember how to do it using just a calculator
Greyhaunt wrote: So far I only did one major screwup with the harem pants pattern I resized - I mismeasured and they were two inches too short O.O; Looks like one of my 50cm girls is gonna get harem pants LOL.
ROFL ... I doubt she will complain ... I have never met a female yet ... human or non ... that did not like getting new clothes
Greyhaunt wrote: ... Basically it's two dials - one is the starting measurement, the other what you want it to be - and BANG it gives you the percentage! ...
hehehe yep ... it is a circular slide rule
... and I refuse to go into how far back it was that I was in school that I had to actually learned how to use slide rules for doing math of various types ... and like any good nerd, had, and carried a slide rule with me in school
LOL in my high school year book I am remembered for my "computer"
... because I was the ONLY student in the school who had a real "pocket calculator" of my own
Greyhaunt wrote:Dale Rae is the QUEEN of resizing patterns. ...
thank you for that information

I think she also has free instructions on making sweaters out of socks! I cannot express how versatile a sock can be for doll clothing
(especially if you want a true "knit" or sweater look to it) and it's easy for beginners to work with
OOooooo ... now that I had not thought of at all ... thank you very much for that idea
my next major purchase is going to be a sewing machine ... I'm hoping to be able to get a decent one in August ... (not some piece of junk from wal-mart)
... then I already have my first attempt planned ... I am looking at a medieval Princess style gown, with a lace up back
and since I have been looking for historical patterns I could convert to doll scale ... and as victoriavictrix mentioned about "Patterns in Thyme has fallen off the face of the planet,"
... here are a few companies I have found that still carry historical based patterns
