LOL! I should point out that she is decent! It's not necessarily evident from the pictures, but she is wearing undies.

Yeah, I thought about the other bodies & joints...but was trying to stick to the 60cm this time. I remember how confusing it can be when you first jump in. :D

K2! wrote:I would go on to say there are three joint types.
The 47/55/60cm bodies have either the the double hinge/sliding joint or the ball joint, as the Highlander points out.

But the newer 40/48/50cm bodies have a double pivot, encased in an elongated ball structure, sort of a hybrid of the two. As one might expect, this type of joint bends farther than the ball joint type, but not as far as the double hinge/sliding joint type, however it is an attractive compromise between visual aesthetics of the ball joint and functionality of the double/sliding joint.

All the Obitsus 1/3 scale dolls (40, 47, 48, 50, 55, and 60cm models) have the same ball type joints at the ankles, hips, shoulders, and wrists. The differences we're sighting are the knees and elbows.

Yeah, well. I cannot believe some idiot on another board said that was a pervy photo.  Whatever...I guess it is where your mind goes and shows who you truly are!

Maybe Midori needs to send K2's Nyoko to kick some tail!!!

If I may ask, where did you find shoes to fit 60cm Obitsus? Unless I make them, any shoes I try on my Lily or Rosalie are too small for the heel.
She looks gorgeous. Love those great long Obitsu legs.

Well, regarding Midori, she's wearing Volks high heels, They fit nicely, although there's not much play in the ankle once they are standing. The Obitsu heels are pretty good too, not as spiky as the Volks ones though. The Obitsu ones have metal in the heel to allow them to work with the magnetic feet and steel plate that Obistu sell with their body sets.

Obitsu 60cm feet are 6.3cm in length so look for shoes with an inner length in the 6.5cm to 7cm range.
For simple pumps you can't beat the Volks DD heels:
http://www.volksusa.com/dssvdd02.html
They come in black, white, and red, fit the Obitsus very nice and snug so they don't effect posability and are only $9.00 USD a pair. I do not recommend the Obitsu pumps. The fit is loose and the magnets in the heels aren't strong enough to support the doll. When you try to pick her up off of the metal posing plate the shoes stay and the doll pulls away.

Apparently this was someone who doesn't watch TV, see movies, read current magazines and is totally blind to advertising. Probably one of those elitist that feel BJDs should only be dressed in lolita outfits with 1 pound of lace per inch of doll height.

LOL! Is it physically possible to stack that much lace on a doll without damaging it? I gotta admit that whole loli-goth thing with yards of lace just doesn't work for me at all. Don't get me wrong, lace and frills definitely have their place, it's just that the loli-goth thing isn't it to me. I mean, Midori's skirt is trimmed in black lace and she's wearing lace trimmed stockings and lace trimmed panties. It's a feminine accent that adds a little flirtatiousness to the outfit, nothing more (or less).

The pictures were described as pervy up-skirt pictures. Now, I don't know about you, but I think I could have done a *lot* better at taking some dollieh up-skirt pics...had I been trying to. However, as interesting as odd camera angles can sometimes be, and as pretty and beautiful as they are, they're still just dolliehs (no offense girls - I'll pay for that comment later, I'm sure), it's not like I'm taking these pictures for titillation's sake.

I think the Obitsu pumps have a more conservative feel to them, they have a more rounded toe and lower heel. The magnets aren't great, but the biggest issue for me is that the shoes are too big and I have to stuff the toes. That said, they do work well as long as you don't need the magnets. So if you want that less overt look, the Obitsu ones are pretty good.

As for the Volks ones, I think that they'd work even better if Obitsu made a high heel foot option for their 60/50cm dolls.

The funny thing about the "up-shots", if anyone in the family is prone to pantsu pics...it would be me. Miu wears striped undies and really short pleated skirts all the time and is a Dollfie Dream Dynamite, so of course any pic is a pantsu pic. LOL! :D

This person just has a problem. That whole board has a problem, IMHO (and for once it is not even DoA). If your dollieh isn't an uber-expensive, ultra-thin, pug-ugly faced Euro-fashion model resin type, then apparently you are a "nobody" over there. Thanks, but I will be a nobody with my DDs and Obitsus.

And back to topic, I like both types of basic shoes, but the Obitsus are too big without stuffing the toes. It is weird. My Dollfie Dreams wear the Obitsu pumps easier because they are bigger and the Volks ones are a bit too small and it is the other way around for the Obitsus. But whatever works!

My girls also have some other SD and MSD shoes depending on the style and brand. Laced up shoes are great for Obitsus because their feet are so narrow.
