Hi, Min'na-sama!
Oh, it's been too long since I last posted photos!!! We've been crazy busy with commissions, I've not had a SECOND to myself for photography! (I STILL have to take photos of my La Corda 2 Tsukimori x Hino Concert DDs yet!! ARGH!!!) But I just had to write about this one! I'm really excited about him!
Anyway, my sister absolutely fell in love with the seiyuu (Japanese voice actor) Hino Satoshi, who is the voice of La Corda's 'Etou Kiriya.' So I set about to make her an Etou 60cm bjd and of course, Hino Satoshi!
Etou was easy----I bought a Parabox Anime head for him, and set it on a BBB 60cm body with RS 70cm calves to make him taller. I bought him a Monique Gold Roxie 'burgundy' wig, added pink highlights and he was all set! (Then, my sis made his signature outfit, I bought him a violin, and made him a set of headphones.) We haven't taken his photos yet, because we then decided to make his girlfriend for him--Shouji Megumi. She's all done, except her outfit. So as soon as that's made, we'll make a big photoshoot with all the Corda dolls together! ^^
For Hinocchi (his nickname by fans), it was a tad more difficult because he's a real person to try to match! So I set about searching for a head sculpt that resembled his facial structure as closely as possible. At first, I thought it'd be difficult, because he's got such a long, slender face, large lips, and smallish eyes, and I figured I'd be doing a LOT of carving and sanding, but then, I saw AoD's brand new sculpt 'Yuki' and immediately went "THAT'S IT!!! PERFECT!"
It really is, too!! I mean, I barely had to do anything---the face shape is near dead on!!!! I just reshaped the eye holes a bit and straighted the nose tip. And that's it. :faint: I was so happy!!!!
Anyway, we finished him last Sunday, and just took photos of him yesterday. We took photos of him with some of our other 'seiyuu' dolls, especially 'Fukuyama Jun', who in real life, is his best friend, and they host a TV show together called 'Hey! Hey! Hey!' (sort of a Top 20 music show variety show in Japan) where after (or before the show?) they take photos of themselves doing nutty or crazy poses together. They're so cute!
So, we took a couple of this duo together in doll form, too!! :laughs: (We're crazy, I know.)
Whew! I guess I've rattled on enough! (Gomen ne!) Here is a Hino Satoshi photo collage so you can see what he loooks like:
And here is his portrait doll:
Hey! Hey! Hey!:
I'm really happy with his result and think he looks just like him! My sister is over the moon with him and plans to make all his outfits for him that are her favorites. (She's up to like 15-20 so far in planning! She likes everything he wears!! :laughs: )
She just made his 'cap' (the last 3 photos above before Hey! Hey! Hey! shots) about an hour ago, so I added in those pics, too.
