Just got my new girl! She's different then I expected but she's got a Holly-like look. I'm not sure what kind of doll she is but after changing her clothes and finding that she had mary-janes and knee highs...One of Haruka's old brown dresses fits her perfectly. I'll post pics soon!

After a horrific month and a half there is some light coming through the cracks, although the reason for the light is in and of itself very sad. My daughter will be getting double her child support when she starts receiving her father's SSI. It means we can pay for more schooling (I homeschool and co-op) and outside activities for my daughter. We have to wait another 6 weeks or so before the first payment, though. It will make things easier on us financially, but I wish it didn't happen this way.

I was just at B&N and and and I got to play with the Nook Color. O___O I wants it, precioussss. I'd complained before that none of the e-readers out there had all the features that I wanted and things like the iPad are so expensive (and not only is the iPad expensive but it's also huge), but I think that this Nook is going to do everything that I've wanted. Once the app store opens (in the very immediate future according to the very helpful and friendly guy behind the desk). Also free Angry Birds. And I think that once I have it (because I WILL have it sooner or later, whether as a birthday gift or after my wallet recovers from the 3DS which I'm gonna buy first because I've already preordered Ocarina of Time for it...) I may end up re-buying a lot of books, I think...because there's a lot I don't read on a regular basis, and if for example I put Pern and Valdemar on my e-reader instead of my shelves, that's an enormous amount of space right there that I could use for my dolls. Rig up a blackout curtain to protect them from the light and set them up on the shelves instead of away in boxes all the time. And next time I pick up a book that looks interesting I can get the e-book instead, also save shelf space. Because I have too many books for the amount of space I've got. If I could pack them away until I've got my own place maybe things would actually fit into my room.

...I guess this means no dollies for quite a while. >_>
