Floating Gretel Head (x-posted)

Postby landwhale » Tue Mar 22, 2011 11:50 pm

ehm.....I'm not so good at the big'uns. If you look close you can see where I messed up on the eyes and you can see the awkward fat lashes. I'm pretty hard on myself I know, but I want my heads to look like heads by a faceup artist. She's still pretty and luckily for her, I'm out of MSC so she get's to keep this face for a bit. You can tell I pretty much gave up on her by all the spots I left on her.

But, I will try harder next time...and not use day old paint...yes...i know...bad idea.

It's the Parabox Gretel right? If so it looks way better then the original face-up they gave her.

You are a wonderful faceup artist!!!

For a first one that's pretty darn good!
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Thanks guys. You can't see in the pics but the reason she has super dark shadow is to cover the mess i made of the crease line. I was influenced in the face up by the default FL Chicline Lishe face so the smokey eye works out anyway. I guess it is unreasonable to expect to do as well as professional faceup artists the first time around. There are a few wobbles around her lips and such so eventually I'll redo her face. I have to order some MSC from JS first.

She's beautiful! The Friend Gretel is a good factory faceup (Volks are still the champs for that) but it really can use a little TLC. Which my Mitzi got, happily, from two excellent artists: Pumibel (who was first pwn3d by Mitzi) and Biff.

Here she is in all her glory:
