There was a big sign outside advertising a big sale.

And now, I have one of theeeeese. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41wVnFmkC2L.jpg

He was half off! ANd he's big and plush and has a full sturdy wire armature going through everything from nose to tail including wigs and his middle toe. He's adorable. Probably big enough for my Hujoo to sit on...and I have got to take pictures of my Realpuki sitting on his nose!

I love dragons, and I've wanted a properly posable dragon just about forever, so yeah. XD My inner five year old is dying of glee. I'll take pictures later when my brother's friends are gone and I feel like I can move again.

Holy crap, how'd I miss this? Not just ANY old dragon either but a Wyvern! That's a very cool find.

(For those who don't know, Wyvern is the call sign used by the protagonist military unit in my figures' backstory. They also use an insignia based on the real-life British 43rd Wessex Infantry Division, which is a gold wyvern on a blue field.)

My Bf informed me today that if I do well this semester in school he will help me pay for my BBB Rachael I want! So I'll have her by summer now! :D

Lots of times when I go out looking for something in particular I end up not finding anything even close to what I want, but today I found everything. I'd wanted some darker shades of pastels for Dove's face (thus far I've really only done faceups on a WS resin and an Apricot Hujoo), gold acrylic to freshen up her mani-pedi, and new brushes because mine have been sitting around unused for a while and aren't in the best of shape. Got all of the above, and a bit more since I found a small pack of pastels in skin and earth tones, no idea how good they are but the range of flesh tones is impressive, and a twelve pack of paint because the selection of individual bottles of acrylic were pitiful and I really wanted gold. If it turns out all right there's also silver, might do Peaseblossom's nails as well. And since I was there I grabbed a couple watercolor pencils and an extra fine gold tone chain for jewelry making.

And when I got home it finally hit me that if I emptied the random pattern bits out of the bottom segment of my stacking organizer thing, it would be perfect for storing all my brushes and pastels and paint for face-ups. It all fits perfectly, I won't have to worry about my brushes getting bent, and when I want to do a face-up it'll all be together and contained and the only other thing I'll have to grab is the MSC. I'm pleased.

And I also got a new pair of headphones, on-ear instead of in-ear, because though I love my sport in-ear ones I started getting bad earaches mostly when trying to sleep. I haven't used my iPod in two weeks and it's been going away, so I hope changing my headphones will help. I was surprised how expensive they were so I grabbed the cheapest pair I found. XD

Now I just need a warm dry day so that I can actually spray the MSC. So far it's been either too cold, or raining. Or both. Mostly both. I'm tired of rain.

That's a start. You should also be conscious of the volume levels you use. A large number of the iPod generation are going to find they have chronic tinnitus.

Yeah, I know. Because these cover my ear I'll be able to have the volume lower, and I think the old ones were sort of wearing out anyway because I was having trouble hearing my music over the sound of people talking around me no matter what the volume was set at. And over the sound of the bus, forget it. Whatever's causing the pain is more physical, because it actually feels uncomfortable to have them in whether or not the iPod is even on. I don't know why, because when I got them they were actually pretty comfortable.

I bought a new pair of headphones a couple of months back and noticed they just sounded better than the old ones, like the difference between a muddy mix of something and an enhanced remaster. I use buds on my iPod but I never let the volume go above a certain level. As the only person in my immediate family with "good ears" I want to protect them. Pete Townshend finally revealed it wasn't volume at Who concerts that did damage to his ears, it was headphones being too loud in his home studio.

I finally got promoted at work! I now get to drive a much better batch of kids to and from school! More hours, better pay, and... a much less stressful batch of kids! <3
