I'm rather hoping that her personality takes shape before she does, because I have to decide on a face-up and default look still.

Hmm... OK, a couple of follow-up materials questions.

I really appreciate all the information and views in this thread. I have a couple more questions about the actual vinyl that Obitsu abdomen are made from.

What I am thinking of doing is trimming the excess vinyl from the top of the 60cm abdomen to match the height of the Yamato abdomen in order to accomodate the choulder/jest joint piece, as K2's comparison picture showed. However to make sure that the 50cm large bust can fit, I had a two pronged attack in mind. the first was to make two cuts on the 60cm abdomen at the top where the faux ribcage flares back out from the waist. Obviously, I would make sure that these relief cuts would stop before they would be visible when the chest is tilted from side to side The idea being to reduce the amount of vinyl material left at the top to be squeezed together when the 50cm chest is put on the body. That way I hope to minimize or prevent the pinching of the back, as K2 demonstrated in one of his picture. What I am wondering about the vinyl, is if I make v-shaped cuts, is there a chance of the material splitting or tearing afterwards? Would I be better trying to make a more rounded 'U' shaped cut?

Secondly, the other prong of the attack is to try to stretch the 50cm chest piece slightly. I don't know the vinyl material well enough to answer this, hopefully someone does. Can the chest piece be stretched? Misheru suggests heating the vinyl to the point where it's extremely soft, stretching it to a new shape and then cooling it quickly. Does the Obitsu vinyl work in that way?
